Summary

Allison Parker needs a convincing excuse to come home to Rocky Mountain House, a hopelessly romantic reason that won't let her mother suspect the truth - that Allison has discovered Mom is keeping a terrible secret from the family.

Gabe Coleman is struggling with two of the roughest parts of ranching: dealing with his bull-headed mule of a father and making enough to pay the bills. When his old friend Allison offers to help him develop his ideas for organic ranching - in return for pretending to be her fiancé - it sounds like the perfect set-up.

Yet the deception leads them in an unexpected direction, where their shared daily hells are erased by nights of heavenly distraction. It's not supposed to be real, but once the gates are opened, there's no denying they've found in each other a little bit of paradise.

To break free of the past and face the future, though, will take more than temporary pleasures. It'll take putting their hearts on the line.

a great read

Another captivating story within this series.
But with Gabe and Allison's fake relationship romance,I found it very emotional as the reason why they pretend to be in a relationship is heartbreaking for Allison.
Allison needed a good reason to come back to town without her Mother being suspicious and what better reason was there than LOVE.
So she approaches a guy she has known since High School Gabe Coleman to be her fake boyfriend/fiance and in exchange she will help him turn his ranch into an organic producing ranch.
It would benefit them both.
Gabe Coleman had only come back to his families ranch because of his Mother and his younger brother,to basically be a buffer with his controlling angry father.
But the ranch wasn't making money and they needed to modernise and he had alot of ideas but his father refused to listen to Gabe.
When Allison approaches him with her wild idea he agrees because if she could help with the ranch it could change there fortunes...Little did Gabe know that this agreement would change more than the ranch but his life too.
I loved Gabe he is not one of the brothers he is a cousin as Vivian is branching out to tell the stories from the extended family.
Gabe has alot to deal with and has so many burdens on his shoulders I felt so bad with the way he was treated by his father.
He is the opposite of his dad and Allison often refers to Gabe as Angel boy, because he is always willing to help people and rescue anyone who needs it.
He oozes sex appeal,is hard working ,generous ,caring and kind...he can also be protective and demanding,he is perfect for Allison.
Allison is like full of life but also has her own burdens and her family is going through an emotional time and needs Gabe for support and to make her mother realise that he was her fiance, because this would make her mother happy.
The thing is fake starts to feel real and they can't stop the chemistry and attraction between them so what happens when the ruse is over?...what if they can't let eachother go?
This story is an adorable one but also sad in some places,I loved how Gabe and Allison were honest with eachother,so there was no misunderstandings on their feelings.
Gabe was more open than Allison though and it took her a bit of time to admit her feelings.
They are a hot couple thats for sure and can't get enough of one another.
This book was captivating and has a bit of mystery to it when Travis brings a stranger into the mix..and I am intrigued by who exactly Travis is.! and the secrets he is keeping...
Tatiana Sokolov delivers another excellent narration she does an amazing job of portraying every character, its fascinating and show cases her magnificent talent.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book just as much as the other books,it is a great edition to this series.
I Loved it.

CUPID'S ARROW HITS ANOTHER SEXY CANADIAN COWBOY

Thirty years ago the main Ranch was split into 4 the Six Pack Ranch, the Angel Ranch, the Whiskey Ranch and the Moonshine Ranch for the 4 sons and Gabe (our hero) is a descendant from the Angel Ranch. The Ranch is in trouble and his Father is constantly drunk, emotionally abusive and bad mouths Gabe daily about a tragedy in the past but Gabe doesn't need the constant reminder as he tortures himself over it. Despite this he's caring, hard working, honest and loveable which is just as well when he meets his old High School friend Allison who's thoughtful, compassionate and loyal and she begs him for a huge favor and in return she'll help him change the Ranch....... but little do they know it's going to forever change their lives too.

This is a moving, touching, emotional and very enjoyable story as we witness two friends entwined in a fake engagement, for a sad reason, slowly be drawn together through their common interests, shared goals and, as they support each other through unhappy emotional feelings and events, their sizzling sexual chemistry finally kicks in. Their building romance isn't rushed and it's more heartwarming and realistic because of it's steady build-up which eventually leads to some heavenly passion filled steamy nights and sexy dirty fun filled days.

Worth a credit? Basically a happy romantic sexy story but it does have it's dark days too however, through their tender healing and deep feelings for one-another, happiness and love eventually blossoms and grows. This is another well-written addition to a great series and could easily be a stand-alone listen but if you haven't already discovered this series then hey, life's too short, so go ahead and spoil yourselves by starting at book 1. Oh yes and very creditworthy.

Keep getting Better and Better.

Any Vivian Arend book attracts me, and Rocky Mountain Angel is no different! This can be read alone but is so much richer if you start at book one and read the series in order because the characters show up in other characters' books. They are all siblings or cousins. And then there are their friends, the Coleman family, who have their own series -- and there's at least one intermarriage, so they all feel like relatives! For a little town, this locale has a lot of great stories! Our hero has been mentally and emotionally abused by his father, and the heroine has similarly life-altering issues. But the healing -- though not immediate -- eventually comes for both of them. Siiiigh!

Sweet Gabe

Gabe and Allison makes a deal that benefits them both and this means they have to be engaged to each other.

I liked this story, it was sweet, fun and had a lot of emotions packed on there. At times I thought the storyline was a little weak but who cares when it's as entertaining as this. I love the whole pretend concept of a story so this was good in my opinion.

The writing style is easygoing and filled with dialogues, in addition it's no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings so I enjoyed the read.

The characters are well written and I feel so sad for Gabe and how he has been treated by his father. Allison is helping him to see his self worth and that he needs to care for himself also and not just others.

This is part of a series so it can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading in order because of the secondary characters that appear in the story.

Narrator is clear and pronunciation is good. Still miss a male voice.

Awesome series!

I love these Coleman family stories. They portray real life so vividly. It's greay to see families who live and breath integrity even in the fave odd adversity. You'll go from fury to laughter in the range of emotions Vivian beings to life in her stories.

Heart of gold....

Gabe definitely has a heart of gold! If only we could all have a Gabe....I loved this book, it didn't disappoint. Narration was spot on too. There were many memorable moments, but among my favorite was the confrontation between Gabe and his father. This book is absolutely worth listening to, or reading!

Story ok. Narrator great!

I have read/ listened to other books in the same series and just like the others this was a nice, uncomplicated listen with just enough sex to make it interesting. :) Excellent narrator!!
