Summary
Can love be measured in percentages? After her girlfriend leaves her for a man, brokenhearted novelist Charlie Cross moves from New York to Los Angeles to work on a TV show based on her books. Charlie vows to never date any woman who isn't a hundred percent certain of being a lesbian. But when she is seduced by gorgeous bisexual cooking show host Ava Castaneda, whom she's had a celebrity crush on for ages, Charlie is forced to review her belief in percentages because true love could very well be on the line. Contains mature themes.

Questionable Lead
I listen to a lot of books like this, generally I end up taking the dog for a longer walk to squeeze an extra chapter in, but I struggled with this one. The bi-phobia is real, and alarming. The author tries to back-pedal, by having the lead character back pedal and “know it’s wrong to think that”, but it doesn’t excuse some of the frankly offensive ways that non-lesbian wlw are referred to in the book. However, even further to this, as the controlling and manipulative behaviour of the lead character is alarming. It borders on abusive at times. She “acknowledges” the behaviour at the end of the book, but blames it all on Hollywood, rather than committing to change herself. I couldn’t help but feel uneasy throughout the novel.
