overly simplified

The over simplification goes to far. It will give you a gide as to what to study and key principles of music. Examples of sounds on the piano would have been excellent. Your rime will be better spent going to YouTube and watch any given number of free lessons available on theory with someone playing the piano as they teach the concepts.
