Disappointing
It's hard to fathom what anyone could possibly learn from this very short book. Most of which was either waffling on in great detail about what Persuasion is and isn't or about what it's correct uses are. Nothing new or that anyone with half a brain wouldn't already know. Wanted to know about how to be more persuasive not spend 1 hour listening to what the definition of it is. Cannot believe all the other postive reviews are legit, there's literally nothing of any substance to this book unfortunately

Well organized presentation
Very well organized presentation of the psychology of influence. Perhaps, one of the most useful features of this book is how the author has organized all this information into a systematized model that aids in its practical application. As simple as pushing the channel buttons on your TV remote you can simply go to the individual step of the model you want to use for the situation. The author draws off of an immense amount of research studies but distills the results into concepts and methods that one can easily comprehend

Really satisfied with it. For anyone wanting to learn about persuasion, this is the basic group of knowledge that you need to know. I really like how he talks about the experiments and explanation behind each principle. It gives a lot more room to research deeper information if the listeners desires. Thank you for this book :)

I definitely recommend this book, rather your looking for a first listen I can tell you it is a must, if you're already a genious in this theme then I cant assure you anything, rather than if your looking to see what themes a book should have for someome who asks you to recommend their first book about persuasion of the minds, this is a really good one.

Summary of Robert Cialdini’s book
Basically a bad summary, nothing new. It says what but not how. Don’t waste your money and go directly to Influence and Pre-suation by Robert Cialdini.

Not a how to book but why persuasion is beneficial
if you are looking for a book that explains the benefits of persuasion, then you will like. However if you are interested in actually learning how to persuade, don't waste your time with this audio.

This book lacked any substance…
I rarely write reviews, but this book was such a let-down, that I feel compelled to warn others so they don’t fall for the hype. Honestly, this entire book is just a 40,000 foot overview of what persuasion is, versus what it’s not, and how to recognize when it’s being used maliciously. The only thing memorable about this book is the 3 separate times the author asked for a review on Audible. Sadly, I gained absolutely nothing of value from this book.

book has some good knowledge but wasted much time.
while the book had some good knowledge most of it was just talking about how not to abuse what he's going to give you that he finally gives you towards the very end and then gives you even more warnings. perhaps it's because it wasn't that much knowledge or content to give out in the first place. but with that being said plenty of great things to learn hear. so would recommend reading it to everyone

Great listen!
The beginning I found a bit boring, but as I continued listening it got better. Towards the end is when he reveals some of the most important psychological principles involved in persuasion and simply being aware of those tactics now is helpful, but he also offers ways to use them. Great listen.
