Summary
Neil needs a bodyguard and a keeper. Fortunately, Brody can be both.
Morning news anchor Neil Klein has a mouth that often gets away from him. When one of the things he says on air puts his life in danger, the bratty “little” resists the bodyguard his producer hires. He doesn't need anyone to run his life and nobody is going to tell him what to do. At least, that's what he says when he fires the hot new bodyguard.
Except that former Ranger Brody Johnson isn’t willing to leave. He was brought in to do a job and he’s going to do it. Neil needs a keeper, that much is obvious. Also clear? The only one uniquely qualified for the position is a protective former Dom with all the skills that a twenty-year military career can teach a man.
This is a 25k stand-alone novella. Watch out for adorable cats, a little who’s really a middle, and enough Mario references to make you hear the game’s music beeping and booping through your mind. You’ll probably catch yourself giggling out loud, but what else can you expect from a Susan Hawke book?

Great listen
News Boy is a new MM age play romance novella by Susan Hawke.
I really loved the story of Brody and Neil so I really wanted to listen to their story. I liked the narrator. He did a really good job. Really liked this story this second time by listening to it instead of reading.

Fabulous Story, Michael Dean is Spectacular!
Ohmygosh oh wow I wish this one was about 200 pages longer! Susan Hawke’s crafted a gem here. A toppy middle, an intriguing wounded warrior, and a fun little mystery News Boy had better be the start of a fantastic new series!
Michael Dean adds his patented style to this one, and it’s perfection. As adorable I’m sure this one reads, what Mr. Dean brings to the experience elevates News Boy to a whole ‘nother level.
Sweet, sexy, unique, and gah I wish there was more, News Boy is a winner!

Susan Hawke has come up with another winner of a book, this is a sweet novella about a middle who needs a keeper/daddy that he finds in his bodyguard. I really enjoyed this perfect sized Sunday morning read or listen.

I enjoyed this.
I haven’t read or listened to many Daddy/Boy books but I’ve really liked the ones I’ve read by Susan Hawke. Listening to Michael Dean perform her books adds additional enjoyment to her words. When I picked this audiobook up during a sale in December, I didn’t realize it was part of a trilogy. When I found that out I expected this one to have a cliffhanger ending but I’m pleased to say that it ends with a very satisfying HFN.
The blurb describes the story perfectly so I’m not going to rehash it here. This is a short and sweet story that’s just perfect for listening to in one evening. I’m looking forward to listening to the next one in this series.

Something New for Me
Story: This was my first "Middle" story. I'm not usually a fan of age play books but this was a Susan Hawke book so I wanted to give it a try and I glad I did. This story was adorable, sweet and fun. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this.

So incredible
Nell is seen every day on the news but he keeps some things slightly hidden from the public. With threats coming at him, his boss and friend hires a bodyguard that understands his private choices. Brody is unsure of where his life is heading but finds himself wanting Nell. These two have an intense connection that will leave you breathless and fanning yourself.

cute, and fast-paced fun!
I really enjoyed this unique romance. I haven't read a middle age play romance before and while short and a very quick read I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed Neil's sass and Brody's natural are and calm. A great quick read with heart!

Bodyguard Dom
News Boy is a standalone novella that is classic Susan Hawke with all the delightful fluff, sweetness, and thrills.
Neil is a news anchor who needs protection. A dangerous ex-felon is threatening him after Neil couldn’t keep his sassy mouth shut on air. He needs a bodyguard that can handle dangerous situations. However, it’s not that simple. Neil can’t just have any bodyguard in his personal space, because once the cameras stop rolling, Neil likes to sink into his “little” persona to decompress and relax. It’s imperative that any bodyguard he hires is able to handle both professional Neil and “little” Neil. Brody is a former Ranger who’s ready for a change of career. Protecting Neil is right up his alley of expertise, but surprisingly, Neil’s “little” tendencies are also compatible with Brody’s dom lifestyle. Both men are unexpectedly perfect for each other, but as they grow in their relationship, danger is just around the corner.
Michael Dean narrates the audiobook and does a great job. The narration is classic Michael Dean – the smooth voice, distinct characters, and cute laughter. The audiobook production is well done and error-free.

News Boy - great quick listen
I loved this read. A solid 4.5. It could've been longer, and I'm greedy and want more, but the novella worked. I like the power balanced. Hawke did age play the right way setting very clear boundaries. Michael Dean did a great job, as always.
