Summary
Grief and loneliness have been my closest friends for a year, and a change is long overdue. A walk down memory lane in my hometown sounds ideal to start letting go of this never-ending sorrow and try to meet again the carefree, happy girl I once was.
But back in Texas, it's not that girl I meet first.
Nate Bowers, president of the Chaos Chasers, is not a saint. He says so himself. As a pragmatic teacher, I should flee from that handsome man as fast as I can. But behind his hard exterior and primitive side, all I see in his brown eyes is a caring, gentle man he shows only to me. And when a past that I didn't even know was mine tries to harm me, letting me know that Evil can borrow the sweetest face and leave you totally unaware of the danger surrounding you, Nate's protectiveness has me falling for him.
By his side, I live again. With his hands and raw touch, he brings back fire into my body, making me feel like a woman again. With his presence, he shoves the loneliness out of my heart. That's why when my past literally forces me to choose between my newfound needs and the safety of the man who has found his way into my soul, the choice is torture.
Contains mature themes.

Who chose these narrators?
This could have been a great listen. The story was there. What let it down, hugely, was the wishy washy narration! Spoilt all effects of the author's efforts. I won't be listening to anything else with either of these narrators.

Well set up
New to me this series is enjoyable and intriguing, keeping you turning the pages as you go.
The inclusion of so many members of the MC is not distracting to the main story, in fact it adds to it and build a great world that you want to hear more from.
narration not on point for me, Robyn Verne great, but the MMC narration just didn’t hit right for me personally.
still a great story and i would return to it, thought most likely in e-book format.

Not good
I don’t think that both narrators were well chosen. The female spoke so slow and quiet sometimes I had words or sentences missed because of it. The male - I just couldn’t imagine him been a biker, I don’t know it felt wrong. Storyline was boring for me I end up not finishing it and quitting it about an hour before the end. I would not continue with the series.

Narrators
I really wanted to enjoy this audiobook but the narrators, especially the male narrator, were so off putting. He spoke so fast and his nasal voice didn’t suit the biker style character at all. At. All! The female narrator’s voice was better but I think she made the story softer. The writing is also quite tame for what you’d expect given the subject matter. There are far better MC series and novels out there.

ON THE PLUS SIDE.. I LOVED THE COVER
As I sigh and mentally drum my fingers, I also frown reflecting on how good this introduction to the Chaos Chasers MC would’ve been if it’d been a bit darker.. and if the voice actually matched the cover picture. I know I know.. I’ve been totally spoiled by some talented top male narrators over the years.. but sorry Mr. Levine, your voice made it harder (for me) to visualize a buff young biker President like the one on the sexy cover. However, Robyn’s narration was better, if a little whispery and quiet at times, but I’d rather of had her narrating the whole book.. but on the plus side, NML’s voice would be great as a jaded older ex cop now freelancing as a PI - something more in the Mysteries and Thrillers genre.
Vacationing Teacher Camryn had nothing but loss behind her and, when she returns to her hometown, she’s unaware of the rollercoaster of secrets, danger, untangled threads and possibilities that looms ahead. Because, as the walls around her heart start to crumble thanks to Nate, the President of the MC, a tentative new horizon starts to seep into her world of loss.. and nothing will ever be the same again. But, as much as this author threw in plot twists, sex, suspense, drama, villains and action, it unfortunately felt a bit “meh” compared to the 5 star MC audiobooks already in my library. It was a tame watered-down version of the MC life I wanted.. because when I’m in the mood for a biker, I personally like him to be a partying bad mouthed alpha with Club bunnies vying for his leather-clad body and a Clubhouse filled with a variety of the same lickable type alphas.. but unfortunately (for me) this just didn’t have the ‘raw’ vibe that I was looking for.
Worth a credit? For me, it’s a no.. but you may love it.. it may be your first toe into the biker world.. you may not be as picky as I am with the choice of narrator.. or you may feel what I sadly did not.. and that’s all good too because it’s down to personal choice after all - like the many delicious flavours of Ben & Jerry’s.

Loved this MC club!!
Totally loved this story, Nate and Camryn were a great couple. Lots of twists, I wouldn't have guessed. I enjoyed that it wasn't overly angsty. I listed to the audiobook, narrated by Robyn Verne and Noah Michael Levine, who were good. Can't wait for Jayce's book next!
