A nostalgic listen
After loving the new series of 'Endeavour' on TV I became nostalgic for the original Morse and decided to download this. Not as satisfying as a full Morse but these short stories are enjoyable and brilliantly narrated by Kevin Whately

Not what I expected
I love Morse n Lewis but these snippets (that's what they are, extremely short snippets too) we're OK. But not great, so much so I didn't finish it.

Well done but time listed is wrong
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Nicely convoluted Oxfordian plots.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
At least happily listening on a car drive.
Which character – as performed by Kevin Whately – was your favorite?
Lewis.
Could you see Morse's Greatest Mysteries being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Kevin Whately, John Thaw(?)
Any additional comments?
This is mislabeled. It's only 2:30 long and it said it was 7+.

Indeed Greatest
Kevin Whately's delivery of Morse is so authentic that your mind's eye watches, fascinated that he's come alive. His understated Lewis is exactly as we know him on PBS!

Who is who?
Kevin Whately, long cherished as Lewis, seems a natural choice as narrator, however, I found the book difficult to follow because the characters sounded so similar. The confusion on my part meant that I rewound many a passage and still got a bit lost, unsure if it was the story or characterization. There you are... I listed to 2 Morse audiobooks... no more.

Entertaining
This is one of the few situations in which I find the television series more engaging than the books they are based on.
The Morse of these stories lacks depth or dimension. These are simply mildly entertaining stories.
I enjoy Kevin Whatley's acting, but in terms of material, he didn't have a great deal to work with here.
