Summary

One accident changed Kevin's life.

Unable to fully function in society, Kevin spends his time in virtual worlds to chase away reality and go on fantastic adventures. Despite his many adventures, he had never lived a life that truly spoke to his soul. A life that was taken away before it ever truly started.

When the beta test for a new virtual MMO called Monstar Saga goes live, Kevin is one of many players lucky enough to gain an early access key. The game boasts a fantastic and epic adventure where players can be any kind of fantasy race - except human.

Lured in by the chance at a new gaming experience, Kevin joins the MMO to carve out a new destiny. What Kevin soon learns is Monstar Saga is not just a game. He will fall into a new life where the monsters live and darker threats lurk just beyond the veil.

Monstar Saga is an epic, isekai fantasy adventure. It has farming, light kingdom and town building, action, intrigue, cultivation, slice of life, and unconventional relationships.

monsterly good

A non human MC, actually there isn't ant humans which sets a different tone as there is more to learn while listening about the different races and how they vary.
MC is more calm headed and tends to think before brawling out which I prefer.
Female cast are also nice and unique.
recommended.

Amature author tries way too hard

The concept is good, the characters are good, and the pacing seemed fine. The narrator is the best thing about this book, I'm not sure how she got through it. I bet there was a lot of annoyed sighs between takes :)

I was only able to get 3 chapters in though. The author seemed to think that pronouns are to be avoided at all costs, and that the more words they used the better their writing. Not so. It's important for all authors to realize that contrast is as important in writing as it is in any other form of art.

Examples:
When "Kaven smiled" every other sentence, it becomes nothing more than an obnoxious filler statement. There is also nothing wrong with using simple and straight forward language for mundane actions "he looked around" or for a little more maybe "he glanced around, taking stock of his surroundings" is much more appropriate for a character who just woke up in a field, confused and distracted than how the author chose to phrase it. Something like "Kaven's eyes swept around, drinking in the view around him". Each chapter seemed like it was written with a word count requirement, rather than crafted for easy reading.

I returned this

this book crosses the uncanny valley in a way that made me uncomfortable in a way I will not support. its the live stock discribed has to human for their place in society and yet to animalistic for one of the scenes also after reading reviews on the rest of the series I decided this series is not for me.

Sierra Kline did a really good job narrating worthy of 5 stars.

A Sexy Fun LitRPG Adventure!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a lot of fun to listen to. It had just the right mix of all of the good things you look for in a Sexy LitRPG. I really like the premise and the whole world being set up with no humans at all. It made it different then all of the other books I've read or listened to in this genre. I'm anxiously awaiting the next one in the series. Check this book out you won't be disappointed!

Eden Redd and Sierra Kline deliver again!

Vivid and lush world building with interesting and unique characters bring this epic story to life. Eden's flawless prose is here in spades. Sierra Kline knocks the narration out of the park once more. i can't wait to get the second book.

this was fun

it's rare that you get the monster man in the story filled with sexy monster girls, but I liked this.

Whistling S's

I am sure the story is good but had to stop after 20 seconds because my ears are bleeding from all the whistling.

Monsters Everywhere

I liked that this was a different view on the virtual reality life. Like a bunch of others MC gets sucked into a VR game and is stuck for life.... but this is from the monster side! There is drama, there is love, there is lust, and there is action! Looking forward to the next book
