Summary

The scariest legends just got scarier!

Molly Thompson and her mother are thrilled to learn that highly renowned journalist George Lovage will be visiting Howlfair to write an article for Country Wonders magazine. The mayor has asked Molly to be George's guide, and George will be staying at the Excelsior Guest House. But when George goes missing and twins Orson and Lucinda Corches take his place, things start to go awry in the town famous for its ghostly legends. The twins are here to solve the mystery of a local legend, the Silentman, and need Molly to help. But who are they really?

Creeps and laughs abound in this second title featuring the indomitable Molly Thompson and her best friend, Lowry.

Good delivery, good story

It was an enjoyable read. Not as good as the first book in the series. Felt a bit rushed. Also, I was hoping some of the questions from the first book would be explored in the 2nd book (this one) but they haven’t- like why Molly’s mom wouldn’t let her in the attic, what was all that about the locked wardrobe, and so on… feels a bit like the book had a lot more potential and many secrets left unexplored. And many times Molly’s friends were nowhere to be seen for no reason, whilst in the first book they were pretty much together most of the time. Otherwise, the book was enjoyable. Looking forward to the next one in this series.
