About this listen
Can the big bad biker really protect me and my daughter?
On the run with my baby daughter, I never expected to end up surrounded by massive bikers. I’ve seen the violence that gangs can do, and I’m not sure a motorcycle club is any different. But Maverick might be able to change my mind about Hell’s Ankhor. When I show up on his doorstep with a busted car and a baby in my arms, he doesn’t hesitate to take us in. And from the moment I see him, I know I want more.
It’s crazy to even think it. My violent ex is coming for me, and I can’t put anyone else in danger. But even more important is protecting baby Grace. And Maverick and his club are just the men to help. I think I’ve finally found my match in this gigantic biker’s arms. Can I trust that this time the story will end in a happily-ever-after? Or will my past crash into our lives and ruin the family we could have together?

Favorite MC series
This is without a doubt my favorite MC series and when Jonah showed up with a baby getting to see Maverick and the club go into protector mode and deal with his vicious ex was a perfect read. These two opposite characters were perfect for each other. Jonah and Grace brought out a side of Maverick we don't always get to see (love babies and tough/marshmallow MC guys) and Maverick helped Jonah tap into strengths he didn't know he had. This is a keeper and a re-listen for me as are all previous books in this series. Thomas Hart did a superb job voicing both the alpha male protective side of the characters and their gentleness in dealing with Jonah and Grace.

Great fast-paced story
I really liked Maverick. It was such a sweet, very fast-paced romance. I like their meet-cute. I loved that the other members of Hell’s Ankhor were very much a part of the story. I liked Jonah and Maverick’s chemistry together. There wasn’t a lot of unnecessary angst and miscommunication. It was hot and sexy and I loved that Grace was a part of the story. I recommend this story for sure.
I love the narrator’s voice. He was very nice to listen to. I liked his inflection and really enjoyed listening. I love listening to Hell’s Ankhor as much as I enjoy reading it. I definitely recommend this book.

Enjoyed Mav and Jonah’s story
My heart melted every time Maverick smiled, played or held baby Grace.
Maverick was everything Jonah needed; patient, sweet, caring and most importantly, he adored Grace.
Maverick yearned for a family and Jonah and Grace slotted into his life perfectly. They completed him in every way; but convincing Jonah is another matter entirely.
Fantastic addition to the series!

Maverick, Jonah and Grace
Jonah is trying to escape a violent as who is in a high power job and can always find him. His car breaks down 1 late night out the front of Maverick's business and he needs a phone and shelter. Mav hears the knock and with Crave still at large contacts Gunner, he opens the door to Jonah and wants to know what is going on. He drops the gun when he realises the man has a baby under his raincoat, at that time 4 Club members break in guns in hand, Mac protects Jonah. They get to stay and as time goes on they fall for each other. Beautifully written and narrated

my fav couple yet!
I loved Mav and Jonah and of course little Grace!
Maverick is such a sweet teddy bear! He's so caring and sweet, he's perfect for Jonah!! Jonah's had a hard and challenging run trying to escape a psycho ex but I liked that he was strong, determined and smart (for the most part) about it. He complimented Mav and I loved seeing Mav and all the guys fall hard for Grace! Gunnar's fear of a baby is hilarious too!!!
Such a great found family and another winning couple!

A softer side of the motorcycle club life
This was already my favorite hells ankhor book so far so it’s no surprise that the audio version just made me fall even more in love. The narrator did a great job with both characters and I just fell in love with maverick, Jonah and grace all over again!

Another great addition
As always Bates and Lyda did an excellent job with the story. The characters are raw and believable, the plot exciting and fun and there was lots of amusing moments throughout. I think maverick as a character and this story in general are my favourite of the series so far

Great continuation of series
Maverick had such a different feel than the previous book, Rebel. Maverick works hard throughout the book to protect both Jonah and Grace. I loved the lower level (compared to the others of the series) angst that Maverick has. I love the addition of Grace to the dynamic of Maverick and Jonah.
Thomas Hard did a great job with the narration. He really did a great job balancing the love story and the intensity of the protection aspect of the story.
Great listen.

Sweet slow-burn romance
I love this series and the different view it gives of a motorcycle club. The bikers of Hell's Ankhor are badass, rough, and even violent when necessary, but they are also kind, supportive, and committed to their community. It may be more fantasy than reality, but I love the idea! This book focuses more on the individuals and their relationship than the trials and actions of the motorcycle club, although we still see the other guys. I loved Maverick's patience in waiting for Jonah, and seeing how the club came together to support Jonah and Grace. Who better to have at your back when faced with a violent ex than some tough bikers? Maverick screwed up when Dylan showed up, but what guy wouldn't do everything he could to protect the man he loves. Although his knee-jerk reaction was stupid, it seemed totally realistic to me. I loved seeing Logan and Luke together with their healing relationship, and seeing Logan and Raven together was a blast. With Jonah, I can see the trio becoming the Three Amigos.
The narration was great and really gave each character a distinct voice and personality.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
