Summary
The story of Nate the potion maker continues!
Well, did you know that Kyushu is an F-ranked town? Neither did I, but had I known about this tidbit of information, all of the unfortunate attacks would’ve made sense. I think. But the Lord Ruler truly is a douche canoe for leaving his people to fend for themselves.
That’s not all. My shop’s ranking is E, embarrassing really, despite all of the hard work put into building it.
There’s a lot of work to do to be competitive with the other shops out there. But the most important things are training my apprentices, getting to know my betrothed, understanding my pets, and welcoming our new farmhand.
Will I ever be confident enough to truly feel like a master of apprentices? Who knows?
The story begins with picking up my third apprentice from a mother who may have too much ambition and enough anger issues to give even Meredith Blake a run for her money.
Novel contains: strong MC in a slice-of-life environment, dungeon diving, boss battles, cultivation and elements, mana/magic, MC-exclusive system but it doesn't do the work for him, treasures, adventurers, slow world building, build-up, features that will not be introduced all at once (upgrades so on), actual good loot at the end of very powerful bosses, romance (no harem). As characters develop throughout the series, issues and emotions and even the MC may find himself in a corner or two. A story of an upcoming potion shopkeeper and his apprentices.
Building an S-ranked potion shop is easier said than done....

Home is where the hearth's at
Master and Apprentices by @Alvin_Atwater. I absolutely adore this book and its use of animals as companions and protectors. The #litRPG world is fascinating & the characters interesting & quirky, especially the development of the shop assistant rescued from her abusive mother.
I found the voices of each character unique and distinct, which kept the story alive. A superb sequel and I will certainly be reading the third #book, when it's out, which I hope will be as soon as possible 📚5/5 🌟 #bookreview

Enticing, fun and exciting!
Another great story! A great continuation to the saga which has OP elements for our mc but still shows us he is far from the strongest and will have to work hard to protect what is precious to him! Amazing and 100% recommended! Narration is also God like, perfect differences among characters, a great variety and easy to understand! You cannot miss it!

Master and Apprentices
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review
Genre: LitRPG fantasy with romance and society building
Explicit/adult material: None.
Summary
Nate is settling in as potion maker, but as always the system and surrounding nobles have plans of their own. His apprentices are getting better and will need further guiding from their potion making master.
Narration
Voice diversity: Good. So good. Every character has their own distinct voice and that voice is clearly a match for their personality and background.
Pacing and intonation: Very good.
Matt Hicks and Allie Piper does it again. Fantastic narration!
Overall: 5 / 5 stars.

Awesome book 2 from a popular series!
I was a huge fan of book 1 and I was so excited to see this come out. This series really blew up this year and has been killing it. I wasn't disappointed. It entertained me from start to finish. The narrators were awesome too.

Love it
this is an incredible and enjoyable listen. yes the story remains with most gamelit tropes in the sense of an individual with over the top power who always achieves victory because of some convenient plot device or whatever. Yet that isn't the driving point in this adventure. Nate continues to resist the "hero's call" and aims to advance his own skills and desires. I'm constantly looking forward to how he will avoid revealing his strengths each time. the fact that his chosen goal is almost actively restrained by the system makes his progress, even the slightest, something very interesting and never feels like guarantee. Honestly his struggles to achieve his personal goals is as exciting as most boss fights I've watched. maybe there is even a lesson buried inside this story, something about not letting the world dictate your outcomes... or maybe I'm childish.

Just AMAZING!
Loved this book and this series.
It's a great continuation of the story.
Usually when a character is so over powered, the story has trouble retaining my interest because you pretty much know what's going to happen and how. Not with this guy.
I love the characters, the world and the narrating.
If you love LitRPG you are going to love this book.

Awesome sequel
The audio for book two is now out obviously and I am blazing my way through it. The narration team is still relatively new to me, but I think they have delivered a phenomenal performance. I actually left a review on the eBook version of this volume. I'm just going to go ahead and copy and paste it below so that you've got my unfiltered feelings from when I finished the story the first time around. As of the time of this review book three is available in eBook form and I'm about 60% of the way through. I kind of put that on pause because I wanted to go back and enjoy the audio book. Also what I found out is that the gentleman author has a Patreon and already has several chapters of book four up and available. With that I hope you help make this series a success and enjoy it as much as I do.
Right up front I'm going to say that I recommend this series to anybody reading this review. When it comes to a sequel, I'm looking for everything that made the first book worth reading and then some. I'm glad to say that this the second volume was exactly that. I am not an anime fan. There are some important people in my life who enjoy it and have tried to get me interested in it but with literally only four successes I am happy to announce a fifth one. That would be this one. I really did enjoy the story and it's over the top humorous nature. Our hero is still reluctant to become a hero and despite his best-efforts excitement continues to find him. He is still endeavoring to raise the letter rank of his shop at the beginning of this book and the rank of the town at the end of this book. This is the first series that I have read by this author. Volume one I actually listen to the newly released audiobook and could not wait for the sequel to get the same treatment. After binging the two volumes in 3 days I find myself dying of anticipation for volume three. While I waste away waiting, I will simply say Well done to everybody who's had a hand in bringing this book to us, the Amazon readers and I can't wait for what comes next.

A truly entertaining story!
I bought the first book, not knowing what I’d find, and what I found is a story that I hope spans many more books! This is very fun story laced with lots of humor. I would love to see this story turned into an anime.

Ehhhhhh
This book is just ok. The MC is way overpowered and just handed things for nothing, but at the same time, he keeps fighting the most op people in the world in this small town in the middle of nowhere. He doesn't have any real trouble or even character progression. Everything he gets is just given to him on a silver platter. I honesty done with the series, there is just no real struggle or even good relationships. I am sorry to say this because he probably worked really hard on this, but it's just not good.
