Mark Johnson is hitting his forties and is stuck in a rut.
He's had the same boring office job for ten years, with no motivation or inclination to change it. The same crumbling house for ten years, with no cash or know-how to fix it. And the same Facebook status for five years—it's complicated. It isn't. He's single. He just doesn't want to correct it. That would be admitting defeat.

Delightfully English
I never know what to expect from a book by CF White, but I know I will enjoy the read/listen, and this book is no exception.
Her characters are always different, with backstories and sometimes, like in this book, very entertaining in a klutzy way. But don't worry because a good cup of tea will make everything better.
I love Mark's family. His chat with his dad was heart-wrenching, and his mother, well, that's a whole story in itself. Bradley seems to equal the nuttiness on the family side. Like I said, great backstories/families for both characters. Well worth the read.
Age gap, lost love, trust, trust issues, family, and love and a happy ever after, what more do we need.
Fantastic narration by Piers Ryman as always, clear and enjoyable, although as usual, I did increase the speed on audible to 1.25, which is my norm.

An age gap whimsical MM romance
Throughout listening I had to guffaw and laugh quite a bit. The with banter, understatements steam and heat were just right fir me. Brad and Marc seemed an unlikely couple, but they work just fine. Loved how Marc got his joy back. This was a hot and fun oppposites attract, age gap MM romance. 📚 4⭐️
Piers Ryman brought the book just the right accents in language and narration 🎧 5⭐️
