Summary

This frank and sometimes controversial diary details one hectic year in the eye of the showbiz storm, cut with a heavy mix of the day-to-day goings-on in Bexhill, where Harry lives at home with his mother, occasional Filipina fiancée Lay Dee and a dog who has a job at the airport.

Follow Harry's attempts to become a judge on X Factor and his efforts to meet the Welsh chanteuse Duffy at Warwick Avenue. Read of his tearful collapse at the hands of Piers Morgan, his ongoing feud with Dominic the manager of Londis and the mysterious disappearance of a tin-frog jazz band that leads Harry to Terry Wogan's subterranean lair.

Looking for Harrys autobiography? This isnt it.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I wouldnt listen to it again. Its a fictional year in his life. Typical Harry, but not what I was expecting.

harry hill IS a genius

I've had the physical book for years and it honestly never fails to make me cry laughing (for example - the dygnitas portion).this has to be, albeit some dark parts, one of the most joyful, silly, and mood uplifting books of all time. the way Harry reads it too is splendiferous!

10/10 WILL read again.

more obscure than i thought it would be

Big fan of Harry, but this was more obscure than i thought it would be... which is a good thing. There are also subjects in it that would normally be deemed a little offensive, but presented in a such a way that they are perfectly normal for Harry. I particularly liked for 'for diiner, for pud' at the end of the daily report, as some are linked tot he days events and some are not... which leaves you guessing as to whether the connection is there at all..

Very funny

Harry hill is nuts, that much is clear. I think it is very funny and we'll presented. having Mr hill himself reading is perfect. I recommend this book for a light hearted look at the life of a madman.
