Summary
If you have always wanted to learn Spanish but have no time and you’re wondering what do most people find unexpectedly difficult about learning Spanish, then keep reading!
Much as we would all love a magic pill, if you’re like most learners, learning Spanish involves a combination of dedication, persistence, and hard work. Of course, it’s incredibly rewarding too.
We surveyed the audience recently, asking them what their number one difficulty was. Can you guess what they said?
Time.
Time to spend on getting your head down when there are endless jobs to be done and only 24 hours in a day. Being able to step out of the pressures of the day and spend 15 minutes immersing yourself in another language and culture.
Spanish is a beautiful language that is spoken by millions around the world! It is hard to find time to learn a new language, however! Language courses at schools and colleges are routine and boring!
If you’re struggling with finding time to spend on Spanish, this audiobook is the solution you were looking for! We’ve written a new concept of learning based on the method of conversation and listening.
Me and my partner will have a conversation in Spanish as happens across the Spanish speaking world millions of times every day, then we'll repeat that conversation slowly, giving you time after each phrase to repeat what we say. It's really important that you do that, as it helps to properly anchor it in your mind. We suggest that you rewind every part and lesson, and repeat it until you've really got it. It's actually a good idea to memorise the conversation. Then, we'll take the conversation apart and really analyse everything we said. We'll teach you the snippets of grammar which we used, what the vocabulary was and how that's used, and we'll really hone in on the specifics of the pronunciation. Finally, we'll give you a couple more bits of Spanish you can use as well, this is usually pretty informal cool Spanish stuff, people are going to be impressed if you can use this. Also, check out all of our associated materials.
The conversations will be broken up into the following topics:
- Talking about interests
- Coffee time
- The interview
- The conjugations
- Irregular verbs
- The Verbs: Ser and estar
- Talking about action
- The verbs: Coming and going
- The adjectives

Very disorganised content and delivery
Firstly, it is not an audiobook but a collection of podcasts. In any case it started off ok but rather quickly I felt that Rob and his Spanish speaking friend's conversations tended to centre around them and their life. At a few instances they almost start flirting with each other and forget the actual Spanish sentences that the listeners want to learn from! Also, each audio 'lesson' had very few examples and listeners are expected to read notes to the podcast for more detail, which defeats the purpose of an audiobook. Disappointing purchase for serious Spanish learners.

Very good
Still working my way through the lessons but I’m impressed so far. My only negative is that Robert puts a “D” on the end of the Ser words, which confuses me, I’ve asked Spanish friends and school teachers and they’re not aware that it’s pronounced with a D.

Super helpful!
Living Language Spanish is really first-rate. The appearance of the materials, the creativity of the lessons, and the intelligence with which it was crafted suggests that the guys who produced it cared about getting it right. Well done!
