Summary
It’s the 1993 L.A. music scene, complete with drugs, parties, alcohol, and women, but 27-year-old Cory Scott is only interested in one thing: the success of his band Suicide King. His best friend died trying to make it happen and Cory will stop at nothing to make their rock star dream a reality. For himself, his best friend’s memory, and for his bandmates.
When infamous music legend Alexandra Blake agrees to produce their debut album, all Cory has to do is keep the band together and keep her interested in them long enough to finish the album. Simple enough. Until he meets Alexandra. With one glance at her, everything else becomes secondary. The deeper he falls for her—and she falls for him—the more torn Cory becomes between the bandmates who depend on him, the music he thought he was there for, and the woman he needs more than air in his lungs.
L.A. Dreams is about the bonds of friendship, falling in love, and following your dreams. It’s a debut novel about the choices and sacrifices one must make when pursuing a dream of fame and fortune.

An Instant Favourite!
This book has been on my wishlist for a while (I have lots to get through). I was lucky enough to get a free code in exchange for an honest review.
I can not praise this book enough! The story, characters, and narration are impeccable! You know when you're listening to a great book when you get resting, bish face, when someone interrupts your listening! I highly recommend this book and author 👌 😍

Interesting story!
A very good storybook. The characters are written in vivid detail and I became lost in them. We get to see what the characters see and don't see. Eddie is a character that tends not to see what's in front of him.

I enjoyed this book.
I enjoyed this book immensely. Making it in LA is a dream for many, and this audiobook will let you live that dream out vicariously through the main character. Great book!

Good book!
L.A. Dreams carves out its own space and identity. The novel is a well-crafted character study as well as a great romance, though thankfully it is refreshingly unique and different from the bulk of the usual sorts of cookie-cutter novels of that genre.

A truly terrific listen! A leap of faith after the tragic loss of a best friend finds Corbett Scott, Cory, chasing after a dream he once thought unobtainable. L.A. Dreams comes true!
This delightful audiobook based in the 1990s brings back memories of my own running around in nightclubs with music, bands, adolescent dreams, and some of our friends' dangerous alcohol and drug dealings. The colorful characters make it very easy to listen.

Soothing Voice!
From the beginning chapter of this book, I was hooked on the author’s richly crafted characters. The settings and times are straight out of the era and through the friendships, struggles, infidelities, betrayals, and wins. Take a weekend and some adult beverages and go back to LA circa 1993 with A.M. Morrell’s L.A. Dreams. You won’t be sorry!

I enjoyed listening!
I always love listening to romantic stories. I grab this book and it is amazing! A novel about love, death, betrayal, and above all, friendship. The characters are well written and defined. There are a few unexpected twists and a really good plot.
