Summary
August Morrison and Ricardo Torralba would really like to live a quiet life—as quiet as life can be for a couple of eccentric hitmen, anyway. Unfortunately for them, they pushed their luck with the authors, and demanded a sequel. So now, whether they like it or not, they’re getting a third installment.
Yes, this is a revenge audiobook. Because we’re the authors, that’s why.
This time, August and Ricardo are in way over their heads, because there are few things more dangerous than owing a favor to the mafia. When that favor gets called in, though, it’s not to kill anyone—it’s to save them. Time is running out to find the source of tainted street drugs poisoning innocent people.
Now they’re caught in the middle of a deadly war between rival families, all while trying to dodge suspicious police and merciless drug cartels.
Maybe this time, August and Ricardo will learn their lesson and not demand another audiobook...assuming they survive this one.
Killer vs. Kingpin is the third installment in the Hitman vs. Hitman series that seems to have evolved from an alleged “standalone” to “yeah, we don’t even know”. They’re just too much fun to torture! Err, write. Too much fun to write.

Fun, action packed!
Fun story filled with mystery, romance, and bullets. Lots of bullets. August and Ricardo owe a mafioso a favor and become detectives of sorts. Who is adding a deadly poison to the local illegal drug supply? An interesting twist for our hitmen. Of course there are ridiculously dangerous and incendiary scenes when the cartel and rival mafia family get involved, as well as the cops who suspect August of murder. In the end, two highly unlikely people band together with the heroes to save innocents in an epic battle for survival against all odds.

Cliffhanger
Lacking in spiciness. 1 banana pepper but it hits all the other needs. Funny, quirky, and August make it great. I love the blooming of 2 other characters.

another great addition 👍👍
📖 Story comment: good pace, entertaining characters, interesting story.
Another entertaining addition to this series - trouble manages to find Ricardo and August without them even trying. 😂
I enjoyed the drug storyline and getting to know more about the secondary characters. I'm liking the direction the personalities of the players are taking and enjoy the ongoing banter between them.
... I just NEED the next one NOW please ...
