Summary
"We never let well enough alone.”
Six years after the publication of the original S&S, people are still getting great results from the program and the book has never left the Amazon weight training best seller list. So why another edition? Pavel answers with a quote from a novel: You know our motto: "We never let well enough alone."
This is Kettlebell Simple & Sinister: Revised & Updated Edition or simply S&S 2.0. Learn how to use the extreme hand-held gym from the man who started the kettlebell revolution.
- Simple & Sinister will physically prepare you for almost anything life could throw at you, from carrying a piano upstairs or holding your own in a street fight.
- Simple & Sinister will forge a fighter's physique because the form must follow the function.
- Simple & Sinister will give you the strength, the stamina, and the suppleness to play any sport recreationally and play it well.
- If you are a serious athlete, Simple & Sinister will serve as a perfect foundation for your sport-specific training.
- If you are a serious lifter, Simple & Sinister will build your strength, rather than interfere with it.
- Simple & Sinister will achieve all of the above while leaving you plenty of time and energy to do your duty, your job, practice your sport, and have a life.
Russian kettlebell power to you!

Nope
The book is more than likely very informative and good read but I couldnt do it to myself to listen to the audio version. It's unbearable to listen to Pavels short blast of stop/start sentences for hours on end.

Outstanding training protocol
Obviously this book is for auditory learners at intermediate to elite training levels. However this training protocol is simple enough for the curious beginner who is willing to research proper form and technique elsewhere. There are no PDFs or videos on training techniques

Content is useful but too long for what it wants to transmit
It's a good buy, the workout is solid.
Content is useful but takes too long to get to the point, it could be summarized in 15min.
The review is highly personal, I really don't care much about the motivational psychology and narrative the author fills the blanks with, however the spin he puts on the narrative performance with the accent and bravado is hilarious and entertaining.

Great book, great program!
I love a book read by the author. Listening to this feels like being coached by Pavel himself. I've been lifting weights for 15+ years and this program is making me both stronger and leaner. I never understood how awesome kettlebells are until I started this. they really are didn't and in many ways better. I highly recommend this book. Pavel has a great sense of humor and a casual writing style that I really like. He's effective, entertaining and funny.

Ditch Everything Else And Do This
I wish I had this in my 20s but now in my 40s and following the program in this book I am in FAR better condition than I was in my 20s. This system is deceptively simple but it is based on very sophisticated science and decades of demonstrated proof. Follow the advice in this book and be prepared to get really strong and have strength that never quits.

No doubt that this program makes you noticeably stronger and the routine is suitable for a workaholics lifestyle. If your a dude who wants to get stronger or someone who wants a good maintenance routine this is a program worth considering.

Program Works... Period
This is probably the most entertaining fitness book ever written. Pavel's dry, Russian sense of humor is both hilarious and inspiring. I was skeptical of his claims about the kettlebell being able to both strengthen and heal the body. But after a year on this program, I'm stronger than ever and my knee/back pain is gone. I've gained muscle and lost fat. The program is easy to follow and contains modifications and solutions for sticking points. For videos on form look at Strong First and Coach Vaughn on YouTube, then take a video with your phone. Die but do!
