Couldn’t get past the narration

A decent story but the voices for each of the characters were inconsistent. It was hard to tell if the dialogue was banal or if it was the delivery that was half hearted. You could tell when the narrator got tired of reading as it became garbled and there was no meaning behind the words.
Also, a strange choice to have a Dublin accent narrate a Cork story.

Great story - terrible narration

My second Eithne book - love the story and characters- but the narration is terrible - had to run on 0.8 and it really affected the enjoyment.
I wouldn’t recommend audio sorry

Excellent story

Excellent story with a surprising ending. Narration on the audiobook was poor with even occasions of tripping over words and no variation in tone.

Great story, disappointing audio

Really enjoyed this book - well rounded characters & a great tale but I was so disappointed with the audio recording :(
the reading was poorly paced (extremely fast, I could barely keep up; I tried slowing it down using the speed feature but it sounded worse) with hit-or-miss emphasis/pronunciation and no rhythm of dialogue.
If I wasn’t enjoying the book so much I would’ve returned it due to the recording.

Good story ruined by the narration

Enjoyed the overall story but narration was terrible it was rushed sounded like it was done on a lunch break Would have returned it but don't think audible would have let me.
