Summary

Are you tired of diets that are nearly impossible to comply with and still don't produce the results you want?

Often, people who are convinced of the absolute, unshakable, and true effectiveness of diets, having heard about an intuitive diet that does not imply any restrictions and divisions of food into “healthy and proper” and “unhealthy and incorrect”, say that this is “complete nonsense”. If you decide to practice intuitive nutrition, then you, too, will definitely be told this.

However, intuitive nutrition as a method of normalizing eating behavior has existed for more than 30 years, and over the past decade, there have been many interesting evidence-based studies about its effects on human health and body weight. Intuitive eaters, among researchers, have been found to have a lower body mass index, lower levels of sulfur triglyceride in the blood (the main risk factor for the development of cardiovascular disease), and a reduced risk of heart disease.

The conclusion from all this information can be made very simple: if you want to have moderate weight throughout your entire life, eat intuitively.

The logical question that often arises for those who first get acquainted with this information is: why do doctors know nothing about this? Why are nutritionists silent? In fact, there is a decent reason for that.

Find out this and more in this audiobook. Like any process for man, you need to familiarize yourself with its nuances if you are to be able to put it to proper use. A few of the details discussed are:

  • Common myths and facts about nutrition.
  • Learn to identify your beneficial hunger signals.
  • What to eat, when to eat?
  • When are you really full?
  • Hunger scale.
  • Why you should burn your “never ever” foods list.
  • The intuitive eating food rules.
  • Intuitive eating exercises.
  • How to practice mindfulness eating and shut down negative thoughts.
  • Shutting down and negative thoughts and feeling right.
  • Fear of hunger?
  • Feeling of shame?
  • Learning to cope with feeling outside of food.
  • Hunger management
  • The principle of optimal combination
  • How to make good decisions.
  • Making peace with your God-given shape.
  • The 4-step transformation assignment.

With this accumulating of a pool of data, you can be sure that at the end of this audiobook, you will be lead to a personal review of dietary views and start the rejection of an outdated dietary concept harmful to human health.

Sounds like a robot reading-very annoying.

I didn't play the sample, so that is my fault. The voice is terrible -sounds like a robot reading in a Japanese style monologue.
I cannot imagine anyone reading a book like she does. Her voice spoiled anything good about the content of the book.

It is one of the best audible!

This is a great work audio book to start applying the principles of Intuitive Eating and really dive deeply into your thoughts and beliefs keeping you stuck in a restrictive mindset with food. Each chapter is full of information and there are many assessment tools and listening prompts to work through.

Wow great listen book

This book changed my association with nourishment totally. At the point when I got it around a half year back, I had recently increased a couple of pounds after some huge life stuff occurred and just couldn't force myself to eat less it off. So I was gorging a great deal in anticipation of this approaching eating regimen I in the end needed to begin.

Thank you so much Ashley..! So much value here.

After so many diet books, it seems like I finally found the method I was so looking for. Big thank you Ashley, I wish I could hug you.

I've heard many people talk about intuitive eating and mindful eating, and now I understand why. It makes a lot of sense, to go back to our senses, to start listening to our body.

I feel like I communicate better with my body now, I really understand how to handle cravings, how to be mindful with my eating, and how to intuitively eat and beat emotional eating.

The book covers very interesting point of views, it provided me with practical examples and inspired me to find the best version of me.

I bought both the kindle version and the audio version so I have it always with me :)

Highly recommended.

Jagged flow

Like some of the other reviewers, I had some trouble following the narrator’s cadence. Her pronunciation and flow of her words weren’t fluent or easy to understand at times.

The flow of the book itself also isn’t perfect. There would be a list mentioned but then when the list was dissected or explained with more detail, it didn’t follow an intuitive order. (That’s ironic, huh?)

There’s still some great advice in here if you can get past the AI voice, mispronounced words and illogical presentation of information.

Hard to listen to

I think I like the content of this book, but it’s hard to say because the reader is pretty terrible. The sound of her voice is nice. But she has no sentence flow, there are lots of mispronounced words, and many odd pauses and emphases. A lot of the concepts are hard to grasp because of the way it’s read.

Not impressed

Seems contradictory to everything in medical science.

It seems to be more about her insecurities and opinions than based on science.

Robot reads the book which is annoying.

Do NOT purchase this audio book

You can't understand the narration because the producers behind the book used an AI voice to read it. There is no structure or natural flow to the sentences. I literally cannot understand it even when I listen to it at a lower speed. ALSO - I emailed Audible and they said to call them because they have too many emails. So I called them and they said to email them because they have too many callers. This company is a joke.

Irritating Narrator

The narrator paused when there shouldn't have been a pause, so made it hard for me to concentrate on her words. And she mispronounced many words. I couldn't listen to the entire thing. I'm sorry to the narrator.

Left feeling inspired / Wake up call!

I saw myself a lot throughout this reading. I struggle a lot with binge eating and I hate diets. After doing some soul searching I found that a lot what I struggle with in regards to food is psychological. A lot of what is talked can be implemented the next day. I only gave this four stars because at times I felt like the performance was a bit on the non-engaging and that the author did not at any point stress them importance of a well-balanced diet. The right person could easily take this information and use it as an excuse to eat McDonald’s everyday!
