Summary

Isaac has one last step to reunite with his family. Politics aside, it is everything he could have hoped. Only he won’t allow them to define his life. Despite their wishes for him to rest and raise a family, trouble springs anew.

He isn’t one to let things go when one of his women is in trouble. Isaac sets off on one last mission against the wishes of his family—only to find more than he could have ever expected.

The fate of his family rests in his hands. If only he can put all the pieces together and come out on top of one last adventure.

What an Epic Tail

With the cultivation epic coming to a close, I was truly blown away by a great description of what fighting in the immortal realms was like. I always chalked it up to cosmic level superhero fights, but I don’t even think that does it justice. Tier VIII and IX Wuxian power level would remain for the power cosmic.

I absolutely loved the fight between Isaac and the guard captain, I was reminded of “Indian Joe” cartoon for power scaling between the two. Look up that reference for a good laugh. Isaac’s growth from top of the Ferryman Sect and need to explore the immortal world and the power differential between immortal tiers really grounded him for family protection.

Personally, I would love another story, one where Bi or Vi and Isaac explore the Astral with his mana beasts and 2 of his children. I loved each of the wives, but would want more from the great Astral and interact with old Djinn once again, and the final book to see Isaac replacing the DAO. Make it happen Bruce Sentar!

End on a High note

Good book, Great series, but it's starting to become a bit of a chore to get through. I would be happy if this is where the series ends, as the books are starting to feel repetitive.

buggy audio.

it seemed like in some sections things were repeated or disjointed. like either the male or female voice actors part would be a response to a fat earlier or later line. good story overall though.

Amazing series!

Series one of my favorite series in the genre. Very well written. I am hoping that the series continues and the worlds associated with Bai and her family are explored.

The perfect ending for a perfect story

This series starts in book one and purports that there is always someone stronger but the writer brings the final book to a conclusion that brings you to a perfect amount of closure. And yet makes you hope that there’s a spin-off.
