Inspirational

It's brief, but it's sufficient to grasp the meaning and significance of Ikigai in our lives. Even if you are not from Japan, you will find this book to be very useful and easy to grasp. The explanations about the meaning of the word and the Japanese way of life were really interesting. I was inspired by my search for my Ikigai. Thank you also for citing various university studies on meaningful work and interviews with people who have already discovered their own Ikigai.

Extremely entertaining

This book is extremely entertaining, brilliantly written, and all-around fantastic. It serves as a reminder to us all that life is made up of small moments that occur every second, minute, hour, and day. It's all about accepting and enjoying the present moment, whether it's happy or sad, good or horrible, distressing or exhilarating! I strongly advise everyone to try it!

Great buy

I bought it to simply find out more about the Ikigai concept. I did not expect a full-on guide for life. Robert definitely goes beyond the concept itself. Using beautiful metaphors of the bullet train journey, they go through each stage of our life so gracefully. I finished the book and just started to do the exercises and I can already feel the shift. Recommended as a present to someone in your life that is lost!

Enlightening

The book's fundamental premise is strong enough to carry the entire book as it moves from mental models to health to diet and so on. The simple lesson is to keep pursuing your heart's passion, not to retire, to maintain a sense of balance, to maintain friendships, and to remain a little hungry in order to keep moving. It's extremely simple, but it's invigorating and enjoyable to read.

I like how everything was explained

I like how everything was explained in a straightforward manner that anyone can understand and implement while listening. This is an excellent book for determining your life's purpose. With it, I discovered that you don't need a life to begin; you can begin living the life you desire right now. The best IKIGAI book I've ever listened to. It was simple to comprehend and implement.

Leads you to a happy life

The most important aspect in leading a happy life is having a purpose in life and then giving it your all. This book is proof of that. Ikigai is a Japanese concept-based novel that is short but not extremely short. We define our passion, mission, vocation, and profession to uncover the deeply underlying significance of our existence within ourselves, according to this concept. It offers suggestions on how simple things like pausing every now and then can help you live a long and happy life.

Learned a lot about Ikigai

I was enthralled by the Japanese concept of Ikigai, or "cause for being," as well as the ways for incorporating Ikigai into our daily lives. As a psychologist, I am well-versed in Csikszentmihalyi's concept of "flow" - a state of complete absorption or attention with an optimally challenging activity in which nothing else matters. People are happiest when they are in a flow state, and Ikigai's purpose is to help us achieve this condition by "being in the now." Through it, I have learned a lot about Japanese culture.

It's entertaining and enjoyable listen

The book was fantastic! It's entertaining, enjoyable, happy, and encouraging. A reminder that what we have inside of us is more important than what we have outside of us. It was simple to read and included heartwarming examples of genuine people who had discovered their own Ikigai. After reading the book, I have a clear understanding of what I need to do to locate myself.

Fantastic listen

This is a short book that not only explains the concept of Ikigai but also provides examples and techniques to aid in the discovery of your Ikigai. Isn't it why we'd want to read such a book in the first place? This is the best book I've ever read on the subject.

A book that will change your life!

A book that will change your life! I've only just begun and I'm already impressed. I felt compelled to listen to it again and again. I'm going to take it slowly with this one, digesting each page and feeling what I need to hear in order to keep growing and being joyful. Listening to this book has enabled me to better understand what Ikigai is and isn't.
