Summary
He's about to find out...she's not just one of the guys.
Annabelle Jordan and her two sisters were orphans in frilly dresses when they went to live with their sports-lawyer uncle in his world of locker rooms, bookies and gambling. Now the girls are publicists in their uncle's firm, The Hot Zone.
Despite her upbringing, Annabelle is all woman. She's naturally drawn to real men - like her latest client, businessman and former football legend Brandon Vaughn.
The chemistry is potent, undeniable, irresistible. Annabelle soon realizes that Brandon is much more than just another jock. And that she'd better hold on tight if she doesn't want to lose her heart.
This book previously released in 2004. Updated for content and modernized.

OKAY !
Every good story needs to be a little long winded even “Lord of the rings”, this is a tiny cued story with a hel* of a lot of wind maybe even an Orkan.
This is definitely not a typical Phillips novel. It’s ok but not up to her usual standards.
Eastlake and her brilliant voice makes the overall experience worth a credit.

Let The Sizzle Begin
You feel the sparks fly between Annabelle and Vaughn from their first meeting. Because there is so much chemistry between these two the passion builds up -- mostly because of interruptions -- so that when they actually get together the heat is combustible. I like that in addition to the budding relationship between Annabelle and Vaughn there are other relationships with issues, there is family drama for both Annabelle and Vaughn and then there is the business problem that brought them together. So there is a lot going on in this story to keep the interest high, and that's not including the hot sex. I did find it strange that while Vaughn called Annabelle by her nickname, "Annie," she always called him by his last name, just as most others did.
I love Sophie Eastlake's narrations and this one is no exception. She does a great job portraying Carly Phillips' characters.
Most definitely worth every cent I paid for it. Keep them coming Carly.

Hot read/listen for a reissue
This is one of the first books I read of Carly Phillips, and this is a rerelease, this is an absolutely wonderful story with a great couple. Annabelle Jordan and Brandon Vaughn are great together. To read how these two characters fight there fears and their pasts is great. Carly Phillips keeps you wanting more and knowing that there are three more books in this series is great. I recommend to read this or reread this book because this series is great.
Sophie Easlake again narrates wonderfully and keeps you never wanting to stop listening. This was a reissue and modernization of this book and the series.

Great start to a great series!
I read this series out of sequence based off my own personal preferences but it was still super easy to follow! I loved the heroine Annabelle in this one because she was so sassy and hands on, she was the one who actually pursued the hero in this one which I LOVED! All girls have their own magic and Annabelle's assertiveness was definitely hers. She was just a fantastic heroine and I loved how the hero and her meshed together. The villain was super great in this one too! I also love how Carly Phillips weaves in a lot of side plot drama that keeps you drawn in for not just the romance! All I need to read is Book 3 and I'm sure I'll be reading that one pretty darn soon! Loved this series to pieces!
