Summary

Abandon all hope, the fifth horseman shall ride....

Nate Temple is on the hunt to right a wrong. Mordred - King Arthur's son - has escaped from Hell. And it's all Nate's fault.

Pro-tip: Don't let escapees rob the dreaded Nine Souls on their way out of Hell's Gates. It makes the escapee just an itsy bitsy bit stronger.

But what are the Nine Souls? And what does St. Louis think about having a self-proclaimed king in the 21st century?

Nate must brush up on his history, make uneasy alliances, and appease the King of Hell before everything falls to pieces. Because he's going to need to beg, borrow, and steal every scrap of power he can find to stand a snowball's chance in hell against Mordred and what the notorious traitor has in store for St. Louis.

Because Mordred has been planning this moment his entire afterlife, from that dark empty cell in Hell, and will stop at nothing to get his father's old heirlooms back. A certain Round Table and a sword. Only then can his master plan truly begin....

The world needs a Fifth Horseman. Whether they want it or not... Whether they can survive it or not...

Funny & fantastical

I love these books, each story is a great fantasy story in it’s own right, but also part of this much bigger world, an even bigger story that becomes more epic as it unfolds. And every book is hilarious to boot.

This series, each book, they’re full of hilarious gems that have me laughing out loud, and while the main characters have some fantastic lines or storylines, it’s the more minor character appearances that often have me in stitches. This time round it was Dean (once again). That guy, when he shows up is a god, so funny. Love it.

There aren't words that can describe how this book made me feel

To sum up in words what this book made me feel is impossible because Shanye silvers manages to not only make you think but truest feel the story he truly is a master story teller beyond words themselves

another great edition to Nate's storyline

a good listen but rocording does jump in places but nothing too drastic I do think 9 souls was a better story, but this is still one of Shayne's better books

great series but interrupted

I love listening to this series. it always keeps me in suspense of how it will end. my only issue is the random skips in the audio near the end of the book. they take away from the experience.

seriously?

10 freaking books and you still can't finish? this right here is the reason I've given up on so many authors. ex: wheel of time series. outstanding writing skills, but they don't have the courage to finish a money making story. they just draaaaaaag it out forever. now I have to wait for God knows how long for the next installment. newsflash, not gonna happen. I'm done. you have great talent, but we, the people who buy your product, deserve a finished product. I know this series is is probably making you good money... but wrap it up. write another one. the greatest writers knew this and even if they had a long story to write, they'd wrap it up in a trilogy. ex: Tolkien. spinoffs may abound, but at least the first story is complete. let me know when you finish this series, if ever. I'll only drop more money when I know that I'll be satisfied. no more unfinished series for me, ever.
oh, sidenote... please leave out the thinly veiled anti Trump agenda. I can mentally edit them out myself and the story stands just fine on its own merits, but your political agenda isn't what most people want to buy when purchasing in this genre.
good day and God bless

missing chapters

I love all of these books but this book is missing one of the very last chapters and it cuts out right in the middle of a very important part that gives details we probably need for book 11.

Awesome story telling.

Awesome story telling with the expected humor of Nate Temple, among cultural references and events.

This series is awesome

I feel like I’m going through these 10-15 hour books in minutes. Really miss the box sets from the first 6 where you can settle in for a nice 50 hour run. That being said if Nate would stop monologuing instead of killing the bad guys he would save himself a ton of trouble lol. Typical situation is I’ve got him down bleeding out turn to the crowd haha for the vampires (insert ridiculous long speech here) and the bad guy gets up brushes himself off and stabs him 12 times in the back. No that doesn’t happen (exactly) just an example of the type of silliness this guy does.
