Summary
Not much has gone according to plan for mechanic, Pippa Freling, recently. With lots of bridges burned behind her, she decides to stick close to her sister and give Montana a try.
Things are looking up when she joins a local group of animal activists, buys an auto shop for a steal, and even tries her luck with the opposite sex. But it doesn’t take long before her hopeful new future is derailed once again.

Fantastic story
Another great story by Freya Barker !!
I have really enjoyed this series and book 3 is just as full of suspense and intrigue as the first 2 books.
In High Ground we learn of Sully and Pippa's romance,which doesn't exactly have a good start.
Pippa has moved to be close to her sister who is expecting a baby..On New Years eve she hooks up with Sully.
Sully works for High mountain trackers and is not looking for a relationship,but is very attracted and fascinated by Pippa that woman makes him crazy.
That one night stand together results in an unexpected surprise for Pippa and Sully but after that night they didn't part in a good way.
So at the begining of this book they are practically avoiding eachother but Sully is very protective of her still and keeps getting in Pippa's buisness.
Pippa buys an Auto shop and she feels like her life is finally getting on track and then Sully finds out about the surprise that will change both of their lives forever.
There is also a Killer on the loose and they seem to be targeting Pippa and she has no idea why !!.Time is of the essence and Sully will do anything for the woman he is falling for.
I really enjoyed Listening to this book,expertly narrated by Connor Crais and Ada Sinclair they are excellent reading this story and portraying these characters.They are Amazing !
Sully grew on me I wasn't sure what to make of him at first,but I loved him he was just scared after a bad upbringing of anything family related.He never imagined ever wanting to be in a relationship,but he can imagine it with Pippa.
Pippa shows great strength in this story she is so independent...she was always a wanderer never staying in one place..But being in Montana she can finally see herself putting down roots and she can imagine putting them down with Sully.They are made for eachother and their relationship goes from zero to Sixty in the blink of an eye.Everything happens so fast but it is so right for them.
This is a book that will keep you entertained throughout suspenseful,steamy,romantic and captivating.
Freya Barker's writing is perfection and seems to get better after every book I read or listen too.
This is a compelling story and I loved it.

Amazing story
Once again Ms Barker delivers another suspenseful and intriguing story in this new series. Each book is different but the characters are some we’ve already met and new ones. I was hooked from the first page to the last. Wonderful narration too.

surprise pregnancy, older characters.
Loved it. Easy as a standalone, but better if read this series in order.
Loved both narrators - fantastic choices.

Amazing dual narration from Ada Sinclair and Connor Crais. Perfect
Some time back Pippa was injured, she was rescued by high meadow rescue team, and her sister. Now she is trying to start a new life. Even though Sully is attracted to Pippa and a one night together, he has not followed up with their relationship. Making Pippa unset with him. We listen, read how two independent people , learn to trust.
The storyline has great tension, chemistry, and steamy .
