Summary

Just perfect
The story was already perfect and then it just got better being brought to life with audible narration. The narrators did a fantastic job and even though I have already read the story, I found it difficult to hit pause!

Absolutely Incredible!
What a phenomenal story! I am obsessed.
Willa and Cade had me crying with laughter (mostly Willa… that woman’s texts!) and at times, just crying, and listening to the narrators bring these incredible characters to life made it even better. It’s a sure fact that Daddy Cade and Willa need to be heard aloud and the narrators were utter perfection! Listening to this beautiful story has been a pure gift!
This is a beautiful story of love, acceptance, challenge and rising above your past, and OH MY GOD I’m obsessed. And I would make my thoughts more clear but honestly, I think this story - and the swoon worthy narration that had me giggling like a school girl, blushing into my coffee on my morning commute and hitting that listen button to start all over as soon as it ended - has turned my brain into romantic mush… So instead, I’ll leave you with only one final thought:
Cade SAYING the word “woman”…. I melted.

Soo goooooood!
I enjoyed reading this book on kindle. Listening to the audiobook was such a treat. Narration was brilliant with both narrators bringing the characters to life. Stephen Dexters voice had such a deep timbre it made my ear phones vibrate.

You are not even ready for this!!!
I knew this book was going to be phenomenal. Literally everything Elsie writes is. But I don't think I was prepared for just how much this book was going to consume me! Cade is freaking everything. If you like grumpy hero/sunshine heroine, read no more just go pick up this book. That should sell you on this book because it is by far one of the best, if not the best grumpy/sunshine I've ever read. I loved Willa instantly and I want to be her when I grow up. This book had me in stitches throughout and I'm not one to laugh out loud while reading a book. It also gave me happy tears, also another thing I don't normally have in real life, let alone while reading. This book was perfect, plain and simple. Elsie just keeps giving us the best books and I think it's easy to say we should all be honoured we get to read her books! Absolutely adored this book!
You are not ready for this book in audio! This book is outstanding and I just love it so much in audiobook. Stephen and Vanessa could not have been more perfect as Cade and Willa! Elsie wrote an amazing book and it shines even more while listening!

A marvel to listen to and an incredible romance
What happens when a grumpy cowboy single dad who is looking for a nanny to look after his son for the summer finds a young full of life quitar playing woman for the job? Well he obviously doesn't want to hire her, especially since he is already intrigued by her from a previous change encounter.
Cade is such a lovable grumpy hero, he talks more with grunts than with words but he would do anything for the people he loves, especially for his young son.
Willa has a whole summer to do nothing, her brother is renovating the bar she works which means she has a lot of free time. When her best friend suggests an opening to work as a nanny and spend her whole time in Chestnut Springs taking care of a five year old boy, she is in!
Living with a grumpy cowboy has it's troubles but it also has a few bonuses, especially when said cowboy is easy on the eyes and their chemistry could start a few fires in the house.
This was such a beautiful slow burn romance, I loved the story and the characters.
Luke is the sweetest boy, I love how Willa connected with him, their relationship was so special.
The ending was especially lovely and the teaser at the end about what's to come is very exciting and I seriously can't wait for the rest of this series! So stay tuned people!
The audiobook made me love this story even more! The narrators Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin brought Cade and Willa to life and they were a marvel to listen to.
It's the kind of audiobook that even though I had already read the book I kept wanting to listen to it non stop, which I did and then I was sad that it was over.

Fantastic single dad, grumpy/sunshine listen!!
A hot, grumpy, single dad romance? Yep, I'm so there. All of the FEELS with this one! I absolutely LOVED it - the witty snark, the steam, and the emotions they experienced. A wonderful, uplifting read about moving forward, letting go of the past and being loved so completely it takes your breath away. The push and pull, and back and forth between Willa and Cade is OFF THE CHARTS. Heartfelt, funny, sexy, and hella swoony. I laughed so hard at the text messages between them and their family. This is truly a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read!!
Vanessa Edwin & Stephen Dexter do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

Pure perfection
This audiobook was pure perfection. Vanessa and Stephen were the perfect Willa and Cade. This story is one of my all time favorites and I cannot emphasize that enough. A grumpy single dad and his free spirit nanny? Sign me up. Willa and Cade were the epitome of grumpy sunshine but wow did they work. The banter and the chemistry were top notch. I can’t wait for more from this author.

This series gets better and better
Oh I liked this better than the first book in the series by a long shot.
What to expect:
✅ Single dad and she's the nanny trope
✅ Grumpy x sunshine
✅ Forced Proximity
✅ Age gap
✅ Cowboy's.
✅ Small town romance
✅ Mutual pining and banter filled moments
✅ One of the funniest meet-cutes
So this book had some amazing tension and the chemistry was top tier. My only hang up was that I wished there was more follow through on a few of the storylines such as the small towns folk being meddlesome, the ex wife and her family. The story really focuses on the relationship between the team MCs and their makeshift family which is great but I think the story could've developed more. Our FMC is such a fiery red head. I loved the part of this book when she gets all protective of the little boy. I'm so glad this was written in dual POV because we get to read about his thoughts and perspectives which was so swoony during that scene.

Listen, heartless was a top read when I read it with my eyeballs. Then elsie had to go and get Stephen and Vanessa to be cade and Willa. Hot hot HOT. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!

This book is such a sweet ride. I laughed out loud and I was completely charmed by this small town romance. I actually read the book a few months back and listening to it with Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin was just wonderful!

Heartless was an enjoyable and charming small town romance book. The premise, characters and romance were absolutely captivating and just had me smiling the entire time.
This is the second book in the Chestnut Springs series, so I would recommend just listening to the prior book first for more context on the Eaton family.
It is dual POVs of the main characters, Cade Eaton and Willa Grant. There are also some great tropes like: an age gap, grumpy-sunshine, close proximity, and a single father. I would suggest checking the content warnings before reading just in case.
I’ll also say that the dual narrators, Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin, did an incredible job portraying all the emotions these characters experienced and immersed me in the story even more.
The overall storyline was well written and developed, while there were a few slow paced moments it was still just an enjoyable read.
The romantic development between the main characters was also great. Their tension, banter and chemistry was just so well done. The smut was also pretty good, not as spicy as I had hoped but still quite hot.
Overall, just a sweet and lighthearted read.

Heart full with Heartless
This book was amazing. The slow burn, small town romance I didn’t know I needed. Willa and Cade’s romance was everything I needed and the narrators did an excellent job of bringing them to life.

Good f*ing night this Author has a talent! I love Elsie Silver. This story is absolutely perfect. I loved Flawless, but damn Heartless became my new favorite. I can't wait for Powerless. This story is very easy to get lost in. I love the age gap, the teasing, and back and forth, not only between Willa and Cade but all the characters. I love that Jasper is in this a little more. Luke, oh my gosh, that kid!! He is adorable. Willa is my new female book girl crush! I loslvr! LOVE her sass and quick wit. She was perfect for Cade.
I will be 100% honest here, I was a little skeptical about Stephen Dexter. Do not get me wrong, I love Stephen Dexter, I have listened to many of his audio books. For some reason, I could not picture him as Cade. Well friends, I was dead freaking wrong! The first word read. "chapter" yes, that's right. chapter, I was done! Gone, I giggled. Giggled!! lol he was perfection as "Daddy Cade". He did so well being the grumpy growls man.
Vanessa Edwin. gahh, she brought Willa to life. she was amazing!!! Go get this book!! It was everything!
