Summary
What happens to the happily ever after when the ever after has already happened? A spirited courtship, indeed! Jane Austen's much adored Pride and Prejudice is transfigured in this regency adaptation. That fickle friend Fate intervenes when an unexpected event threatens the happily ever after of literature's favorite love story.
The gentlemen from Netherfield have left, winter is upon the land, and after a horrifying carriage accident, Elizabeth Bennet finds her spirit transported as if by magic into Mr. Darcy's London home. Paranormally tethered to the disagreeable man, it doesn't help that he believes she is a phantasm of his love-struck mind and not the real Elizabeth.
Somehow, they must learn to trust, learn to love, and learn to bring Elizabeth back to her earthly form before it is too late.

An excellent story somewhat let down by the narration
A lovely romance with excellent written narration. The story builds gradually keeping the reader engaged throughout.
Unfortunately the narration by Brady Smith is patchy at best. The accent is truly bizarre at times and the pronunciation of key words is badly done. If the narrator is going to use a British accent then it needs to hold throughout. There were many examples where this was not the case.
I would listen to other stories by this author but not this narrator.

Read the book, before you purchase audio.
I loved the book. The story was enchanting, funny and a very different variation of P&P. Unfortunately the narration of it did not do the book justice. Despite the passable English accent, it was read at break neck speed, so much so I had to reduce the speed of play down to 90% in order to keep up. The characters were made caricatures due to exaggeration. Elizabeth sounded like a simpering damsel instead of the strong, witty and mischievous character portrayed in the book. Darcey comes over as a gruff misery rather than the exasperated fool in love. However, all said the story prevailed. I would have liked to have heard Stevie Zimmerman narrate this one.

lovely sweet story
one of my fav variations, sweet and funny, a little angst but not too much. the author is really good. Darcy and Lizzy are brought together by fate in a quite unusual way...this happens soon after the Netherfield ball. no Rosings Park, No first proposals, no Lydia's folly. darcy and Lizzy are rhe focus of the story, of how they come to know each other and fall in love. I would have liked a clearer voice of the narrator, I have had some difficulties sometimes with the slurred voice (I am not English mothertongue).
