Summary

If you want to disappear, start again, make a new life, a small Irish village is probably not the wisest place to go, since anonymity is not something we do well here.

The arrival of someone new is always a cause for twitching curtains and whispered conversations.

But here, like everywhere, people have their secrets, and as the local sergeant, I’m expected to have my eyes peeled for anything unusual.

Another enjoyable novel from Jean grainger

Easy listening, definitive good and bad characters but even the baddies received some understanding and explanation for poor behaviour from Jean Grainger.

Disappointed

I love Jean Grainger books! Siobhan Waring is by far one of the best narrators ever! However, I find Jean’s last few books much too political. I listen to her stories to be given a break from the continuing political divisions in our country (USA) I was so disappointed when FOX news was even referred to in this latest book! There is so much more creativity and potential for the “greater good” then to step on that political path…very slippery slope, indeed.
