About this listen

Evil always seeks a foothold. We must not give it one.

The electrifying conclusion to the New York Times and Indiebound best-selling Serpent & Dove trilogy is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Kendare Blake.

Lou has spent her whole life running. Now, after a crushing blow from Morgane, the time has come to go home - and claim what is rightfully hers.

But this is no longer the Lou her friends knew. No longer the Lou who captured a chasseur’s heart. A darkness has settled over her, and this time it will take more than love to drive it out.

From Serpent & Dove to Blood & Honey and concluding with Gods & Monsters, Shelby Mahurin's stunning fantasy trilogy delivers thrills and romance.

The book is bad, and the narration is even worse

DNFed at the end of part 1.
I could not stand the story, and the narration made it even worse. I repeatedly had to go back and listen to the same sentence multiple times to understand what the narrarators were saying, even though it was English. They act out the scenes to the point were its about as easy to understand the words, as it is to understand the lyrics when listening to opera music.

The book is bad, and there is no way around it. After blood and honey I was hopeful that this book would be better.. Oh, how I was mistaken. Most of the time it feels like a fever dream - nothing makes sense, and you know you'll forget it in 5 minutes. Also, why use French words and phrases, and not translate them? I don't know French, which it exactly why I am reading this book in English...

Honestly, this book is not worth your money. Consider serpent and dove a stand-alone and move on with your life. You'll be better of that way.
