Perfect for beginners

I haven’t been practicing German for a few years and I found this audiobook a perfect way to reintroduce myself to the language. The voice is clear and comfortable to listen to for long periods of time. The subjects are picturing day to day situations and gives you a taste of the German culture. It is good to know that the book is focussed on Germany and not on other German-speaking countries. When you stop the audio and come back later, it will start playing at the point you stopped so you can continue where you left off. Also, there is an option to adjust the narration speed, which I found especially useful with German as the language has many long words. I really enjoyed this way to pick up on my German again and would recommend this to anyone who would like to start learning German or pick up on their German after a long time.

An improved way to learn a language

I have studied German a long time ago in school and have always wanted to do a refresher course and become a bit more fluent in German. I came across this audio book and decided to give it go. It has really helped me to expand my vocabulary and remember what I have learnt already. I liked the fact that I could first listen to the story to see how much I understood, and later I could listen to the story again while reading the glossary in the Pdf that was also available with the audio book. By reading the glossary, I could identify what I have missed while listening. Besides, some of the words and phrases from the glossary where translated in English on the same page, so if I found a word or a phrase that I didn't know the meaning of, I could easily refer the translations without looking it up in the dictionary, which would normally take much longer. This is a really enjoyable way of learning a language for me. I would really recommend this audio book if you are looking to expand your vocabulary and become more fluent in German. The stories are read by native German speakers, which gives you a taste of what it would be like speaking to a native German.

Great audiobook or beginners

Interesting and clear audio which is very easy for the beginners like me to understand German. Since I am new starter I have taken print out of all the chapters which helped me to understand well. Speaker was very slow and I felt comfortable and easy to learn. Chapters are well organized with proper pronunciation. Repeating the words and recap helped a lot in memorizing. When compared with websites and books I felt audio version as the best one.

Extremely helpful

The narrator's voice is clear and slow enough to make the stories easy to follow; I also found that following along with the PDF version was very helpful. My German is fairly basic but I found myself able to understand more and more as the stories went on. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to expand their vocabulary and their understanding of the language.

This audio book compliments other learning methods. Clear easy to follow but do make sure you get the pdf, vital!

Excellent book

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to these German short stories. It helped me improve my pronunciation and listening skills. I also suggest to others who want to listen to this book to download the pdf to follow along as it helps you get a clearer grasp on the understanding of the language

Wonderful

It’s been a while since I practiced my German language skills so this audio book was great refresher for my forgotten words and I learned some new ones too! This book is great for beginners and andvanced in German language. Loved it!

Perfect for improving German

I am a beginner at German, and lack practise at the moment. I enjoyed listening to the stories, works well as a background. The more you listen, the more you get familiar with intonations and german pace, even if you don't understand some words or sentences, it is a good way to practise. After listening to the whole book, my understanding of german has surely improved! I loved the narrators as well, their pronunciation was clear. Learned new words too! Works well for beginners, very effective.

A recommended German learning book

This is quite helpful, it brings all my German back! It gives some German vocabulary with English explanation, it’s good for beginners to understand words and boost their vocabularies. Another good thing is that it gives the regular speed version and slow speed version, it's good for people to catch the right pronunciation. Additionally, it mostly presents basic conversations, which are useful for daily life if you go to Germany, so that’s good.
