Summary

I don't know why nobody ever wanted me.

For real, I mean. My parents died when I was eight, and I spent the next 10 years hopping between foster homes. Let's just say, they barely did me any favors. I have got nothing. No job, no place to live and I have no one to be with.

Except...well...I do have DNA test results from a genealogy website. With close family matches.

It’s probably a stupid idea. A total long shot, really.

...I’m going to go and find them.

But then I met him. He is everything I have ever wanted. But he won't stop me from finding my kin. He is too old for me anyway. It's just a fling. Just someone to take comfort in until I can find my family members. Right?

Great MM romance

This was a great M/M romance. When a chance one night stand ends up becoming more. This was a great home coming romance. It has good romance and sexual attraction. This was a short and sweet story. # Audiobook Obsession

Finding His Way Home

MM books are a not-so-guilty pleasure of mine, but I feel like not very many writers do them justice. Thankfully this book was very well done. This is also the first book I've read where any of the characters finds family using DNA tests and I really enjoyed having that put into the story line.

Narration by Gage McKenna was well done.

Good!

This is not my usual type of book being a MM romance but I found it to be unexpectedly good. It was a sweet book and I fell in love with the characters. I will be checking out more books like this. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

DNA leads to love?

A great story of finding love. A DNA test leads to finding a messed up family dynamic. Along the way he finds his love. I have been enjoying MM reads lately. This one will not disappoint.

The narrator Gage, wow, his voice was hot, smooth and very alluring.

Overall good book

This was my first book by J.P Oliver and Linda Kandi and I really enjoyed listening to this book. Joshua is searching for a family and somewhere to belong. Jay is an older man and the two hit it off and there is instant attraction between them. This story is dealing with confusion for both guys and personal issues. It's worth the time to read.

A story of wanting to find your roots, your family, there reason you where given up. This storyline is a common one, but the surprise answer to the characters questions not so much. Finding love is also not an easy feat when you feel unloved, so this story also has the best of two worlds finding a family and love.
Narrator was new to me, but I found him enjoyable.

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

Finding his Way Home is a book that for me was full of surprises! This is my first book by JP Oliver and Linda Kandi, and I was surprised by how contemporary this story is. We first meet Joshua, a young man who has spent his life in and out of foster homes. Now armed with DNA results, he heads to Bennett Wood, North Carolina to seek out his possible family. He meets Jay, an older man, back in Bennett Wood to clean out his mother's home. These two men hit it off, and while meant to be one night, their chemistry is too obvious to think it should be more. These two complex characters lead us through a great story. More of my surprises lead to cover ups, ancestry, small town antics, dealing with death and sentimentality, it's all there melded together by a romance too strong to ignore. If you enjoy MM, this is a series you will want to start and see where book 2 takes you.

Narrated by Gage McKenna, the story flows with ease. It's my first listen by him,and I love his voice. He has a variety of male and female voices, but I especially love his ability to go from Joshua to Jay with ease. I will watch for more of his performances.

Enjoyable

The story is very good and it certainly made me want to keep going until I finished it. Told from alternating POVs, the switch between characters, and authors, is seamless.

Joshua and Jay work well as a couple for me. The problems between them are usually caused by Joshua's younger age and immaturity and, of course, the insecurity from his upbringing. What starts as a fling transforms into a real relationship once everything starts to come together. I did have one problem with the storyline. The DNA reveal only starts to come together in the epilogue and it feels more logical to me that it should be when Joshua meets his 3 brothers. I know the conflict continues in Book 2, which is Luke's story, so that is probably why the authors did this.

Narration by Gage McKenna is clear and well paced throughout making this a very professional, and thus enjoyable, read.
