Summary

Angelini’s third book and the finale to the Hyena trilogy is a must-listen for anyone longing for something real in a world full of fake. Fin digs even deeper into the world and experiences of the author, who tries to reconcile the sometimes brutal reality of life with the quest for family and a meaningful place in this world. Angelini takes you from behind-the-scenes of Hollywood elites underbelly to the LA "kickbacks" on the outskirts of the city, where Ketamine and Molly are the norm then back to the desolate factory towns in the fly over states where he developed his unique voice.

Once again, we are treated to Angelini’s distinct writing style that manages to say as much between the lines as he does within them. Angelini explores the changing landscape of what is true and what is allowed to be true in the current climate using a narrative that is equal parts humor and heartbreak.

Reality. Plain, simple, ugly, beautiful.

I have been listening to Jude on Shade 45 for a couple of years now. I love his personality and his words show that who he is on the radio isn’t much of a departure from his true self. This book will make you laugh, cry, and offers a different perspective on a life lived that is all to common, but often ignored. I can’t wait to read his other books.

Outstanding

If you follow the author at all you will relate with this book. And if you don’t follow him you should. It’s an outstanding read and recorded perfectly on audible. Mr. Angeline reads it himself. You can feel the emotions throughout the reading. Myself, I may have dropped a few tears and had multiple bursting out loud laughs. Thank you Jude for another great book!

Jude open up to his readers and listeners like we are family and that makes the book authentic. It is a masterpiece of honesty.

Exactly what I needed

I have been a fan of Jude Angelini for many years now. I own all three books and this one in hardback as well. I more than appreciate so much, that I love how brutally honest, raw and gritty he is. I will continue to support and buy anything he publishes because it’s 100% going to be worth it!

LOVE!

Absolutely Love and Recommend!
Judes narrations and story telling abilities are always the best. He kept it very real with this work, as he did with his other books; Mockingbird and Hyena. But Fin displayed an additional element to his usual comedy which was raw and had deep emotional realness. I do hope Jude is not done writing!

Fin is Real

I loved the entire book. The parts where he talks about his father are brave and could very well lead to healing or closure. I can only hope Jude writes more books. #alloutarmy
