Story
"Look out for Zach, and don't hit on him." My brother's request sounds easy enough. Keep an eye out for his best friend on campus and keep my hands to myself. Easy. Even if Zach is a quintessential nerd, who I've always thought was cute, I don't have the time to think with my...stick. There's only one stick I should be focused on this year, and that's my hockey stick. My goal once I graduate is to get an NHL contract. The last thing I need is a distraction. On or off the ice. Only, keeping to the rules is harder than I thought it would be.

Story
Kind, caring, and protective. Those are the three qualities I’m looking for when it comes to my dream man. In a city as big as Chicago, you wouldn’t think he would be that hard to find, right? Wrong. Sure, my boss found a super-sexy detective and my best friend fell madly in love with the most eligible bachelor around. But the only person I’ve met recently is a broody bad boy who saved me at a sketchy pub. He’s grumpy, rude, and honestly, not that likeable at all. Hardly my “dream” guy. So why can’t I stop thinking about him?

Summary
Micah is a small-town mechanic with a big-time dream. He’s found his soul mate in high school social studies teacher Coleman Pierce, but while Micah’s out and proud of it, Coleman’s closet door is closed, locked, and welded shut. Stolen nights are all they’ll ever have, unless Micah can find some way to convince Cole that coming out won’t be the end of his dreams.
Cole moved to Blueridge Junction to escape his past. He planned to make himself a new life, far from home and the betrayal he’d suffered there. He wasn’t going to make the same mistakes again, but he didn’t count on meeting Micah, or the intensity of the feelings the man arouses in him.
But Micah is out and Cole...isn’t. And while Micah definitely revs his engines, Cole isn’t going to risk his job or his newly minted future on a relationship that might not work out. When outside forces bear upon the couple, Cole is faced with a decision. Will he keep his secret and risk losing everything, including the man he loves? Or will he stand with Micah and fight for their future?
Fight for It is a male/male romance meant for ages 18+ due to language, themes, and adult scenes.

Small town drama, danger and romance
Cole, the new social studies teacher in Blueridge Junction, has mechanic Micah's attention. Although he is not out, he's been targeted by the homophobes in town and his job at the high school is already in jeopardy, which precludes any type of normal relationship with Micah, who has his own drama with his homophobe father. The temperature ramps up when the homophobes get violent... this story offers up forbidden love with a side of danger, and the ugly side of small time conservative mores has its moment. I enjoyed the romance here, however, and the challenge presented to Cole to re-claim his life. Ultimately it's a satisfying read, and the narration by Christopher Solon is top notch.

Out-for-you in small town, Indiana.
This book is a lot about fighting: fighting the stereotypes and discrimination of being out and proud in a small town, fighting bigots who want to tell you who you can and cannot be… but also fighting for your love and your place in the community and against not only external influences, but also the shadows of your past.
Micah and Cole have a lot to fight for, and the love they share is the fuel that keeps them going, along with the amazing community of friends they are surrounded with!
This book is the first one in the Blueridge Boys series, and I can’t wait to dive into the next one!

What amazing adorable characters. Not just the MCs but the whole gang. Micah the mechanic and Cole the teacher are perfect for each other despite Cole being deep in the closet. But the introduction to Levy, Jay, Cody and Kennedy was intriguing and I’ll definitely be getting their books. The narration was great bringing both plot and characters to life. Well worth listening!

Small town, big hearts.
How had I not read this book before? I loved everything about this book, from the small-town boys, the love and support for Cole and the fight against bigotry.
Such a well-written book that kept me focused all the way through. I would recommend this to anyone who wants/needs a comfort read.
The narration by Christopher Solon was very good, and I didn't need to speed him up like most other narrators.

Loved the story, the characters, the romance!
Micah is part of the BJ boys, a sexy very capable mechanic who has an amazing lover... only no names are provided. The Cole comes to town as a teacher. He is closeted and it takes lots of love and patience to be with him. I just enjoy J so much, he is the heart of this group of gay friends. Micah and Cole are so good together and their bound strong. The story comes to life with the narrator. Good work!!

Amazeballs!
This book was so many firsts for me. My first M/M romance, first A.D. Ellis book, and my first time listening to Christopher Solon. What brought me to this book to be honest was listening to the Sample audio when it was shared on a facebook group and I absolutely fell in love with Christopher's voice. His recording set up is immaculate which makes for an enjoyable listening experience (for me if the acoustics aren't just right then I will have to stop listening because I will have a migraine for days). But his talent doesn't end there, his vocal range is amazing leaving you with the impression that it's a full cast recording. Not many narrators have this skill and man I can't wait till he's recording more books! He doesn't just read, he performs, you get completely immersed in the book and finish the book feeling like you watched a movie.
Of course it's not all the narrator. This book was a perfect match up great narrator paired with an author that can paint a movie with words. This book truly opened my eyes to some of the struggles that the LGBTQ community face when trying to just live the life they want to live. My heart went out to Cole. It sucks to have to hide who you are just to conform to what society deems acceptable and to have to pick between who you are and your passion for your job. I don't feel I'm a judgmental person and pretty openminded so I didn't think these prejudices still existed. I ended up doing research after listening to this book just to find that homophobia is still a thing and as strong as ever :(. I loved that this book was story rich, the characters well developed, the sex was hot but not the main focus. It's been about a week since I finished this book and I find myself still thinking about these characters.

Very appropriate title
This started off hot and intense from the start and I became quickly involved in this small town romance. I love the BJ boys and their friends. Micah the local mechanic falling hard for his hookup Cole who happens to be the teacher at the local high school. They fall for each other but they have many issues to overcome to be together. This story is sad because we still have to deal with a lot of ignorant people out there and this give you so many feels on how these wonderful characters rally around each other to support their friends. The narration was good...he really kept me engaged. I really want to continue on with the series because I want all the BJ boys to find their HEA

Cute coming out story
Fight For It is a great first book in a series. There is a lot of building of the world (town), lots of describing and backstory of other characters, so in my opinion, the main Characters lost a little page time. However, saying that, I did love all the characters especially Jay (he stole the story).
I cannot wait to listen to the other books in this series... especially Jay!
The narration is good though a bit choppy more like reading than acting. I did love the voices especially Jay, his personality just hopped off the page.

Mica and Cole's story is one we see everyday, I was so happy they got their HEA.

Fight for what you want!
These Blueridge Junction boys are simply wonderful. This is a very interesting town with a wide variety of people as well. Micah is loveable and strong. At first Cole didn't seem likeable, but I could tell he'd endured a lot and just needed someone to truly love him. I enjoyed seeing him an Micah fall in love. Their story was very realistic and I'm happy they got the HEA they fought so hard for. Narration was on point and I look forward to the next book in the series. I was given this audiobook by the narrator in exchange for an honest review.

Exciting and hilarious!
Author, A.D. Ellis, created a beautiful, funny and adorable story with a suspenseful twist. The story captures your heart, and your attention from the very start and the narration brings the entire piece to life!
Ellis brings us to a lovely community that is filled with hilarious and endearing characters that we fall in love with through out the story. The main characters, who face some of the most common and difficult hardships known to the LGBT community, persevere and show their inner strengths and shining personalities. Readers can enjoy the themes of this story and the depth of each of the characters.
Ellis creates not only a beautiful setting, and a heartwarming community, but also a hilarious dynamic of family and friends that all can enjoy. Each of the main characters and the side characters were obviously built up with care and delivered with love. This first story in the series is a wonderful start of the series that introduces a fantastic array of characters that readers cannot wait to explore further in the sequels!
Christopher Solon brought a little bit of humanity to the story that listeners can enjoy here specifically. from a written piece you cannot get the same depth and emotion as you can from audio, you have to get it from your imagination and Solon brought that out and then some. Giving each character their own life, tone and personality through voice was especially noticeable in this audio book, and Solon spiked up the heat during all the spicy and sweet scenes in that sultry tone. Every emotion and change of mood was obvious in the scenes, dialogues were crisp and clear, and character change never had me wondering who was talking.
Especially moments of one character interrupting other characters talking or inner monologues, was handled so extremely well with no pause and even some over lapped dialogue which gave the whole piece an authenticity that I personally have never heard before and LOVED.
Overall I wish i could give this more stars and i am STOKED for the next in the series <3

Enjoyed 😊
At the beginning the narration was fast in parts which made it difficult to know which character was speaking when they were in a group, but that smoothed out and the story consumed me. I liked the story line and loved the characters. I really like Christopher's voice and thought he did a great job. I would recommend this book; the sexy scenes were hot and narrated very well. I'm excited for book two and the couple I am thinking will be up next :)
