Summary
An all new full cast duet narrated series in the Mate Games world from USA Today best-selling authors, Meg Anne and K. Loraine. Includes the prequel novella Promised to the Night.
Roslyn Blackthorne is dead. Technically. I faked my death to get out of a loveless marriage, but that was only half the battle. To ensure my vampire duke can never find me, I have to run far and fast enough so he can’t catch me. Because if he does, it’s over. Not just my life—for real this time—but my entire family’s.
So how does the princess of the Blackthorne vampires disappear in a world where every supernatural creature knows who she is? Summon a demon, of course. Pan agrees to keep me hidden, help me start a new life…for a cost. And it’s not my soul he’s after. Oh no, he wants my blood…and my body. But so do they. The shifter twins. The cursed hacker. And, of course, my estranged husband.
Starting over should be easy after my bargain with the demon. New name. New job. New reality in a tiny town where no one would think to search. Welcome to Aurora Springs, Alaska, a sleepy place where everyone is hiding something and nothing ever happens. At least it was…until I arrived and people started dropping like flies.
It looks like I brought my past, and a whole host of other problems, with me. But that’s not a big deal, right? It’s not the end of the world or anything.
WARNING: The Mate Games: Pestilence is a spicy why choose series that is sure to set your…heart…on fire. If you’re not a fan of grumpy dukes with a penchant for pain, purple demons with fancy body parts, nosy hackers with boundary issues, angsty wolf shifters who like to share, sword crossing, and plenty of group activities, this one’s not for you. But if it is…welcome back to The Mate Games, we’ve been waiting for you.

Suspense, Steam and Surprises!
Rosie will do anything to protect her family and that includes marrying Gavin, a dark and dangerous duke and faking her death to escape those who mean her harm. She now finds herself in Aurora Springs trying to become a new person with the help of Asher, a hacker who is having his own difficulties.
He arranges for her to with Remi & Ben who are not only wolf shifters but twins who believe she is their fated mate. When you throw in a husband who is not pleased to find out what you have been up to as well as a demon you know you are in for quite the adventure.
The chemistry that these characters share is intense as they find themselves battling their feelings for each other as well as the ever-escalating danger and surprises. I listened to the audio and the narrators were a perfect choice both for the characters and the story.

Exciting New Series in the Mate Games Realm
This is awesome. This book is full of surprises, suspense and mystery. Then there is so much heat and humour to boot! I’m loving it!
Okay I’ll admit that I have listened to this audiobook multiple times to escape into this world. Hearing names we became familiar with in the Mate Games Series and getting glimpses into where they are was everything that I wanted and needed.
This is book 1 of a new series and I’m entranced by this fantasy world. Pfff who needs the real world, not me!
This new series has a multitude of interesting characters that are performed by a variety of professionals. You’re sure to have an eargasmic experience like I did.
Most was of the Mercer twins who are aiding in hiding Rosie from her husband. Asher is the one who helped her create another persona in this new life she’s trying to make work. Yet there’s also a demon Pan, who has been taking Rosie’s blood as well as taking her body in many sensual ways. Rosie finds herself attracted to all of them, even the husband she is running away from. Then it all comes to a brilliant suspenseful cliffhanger ending that leaves you wishing for more!

I'm in audio lover heaven
A sassy vampire hybrid; a set of hunky wolf shifter twins; a cursed, lovable hacker; a deviant, determined demon; and an intimidating, scorned (ex-)husband … oh my! K. Loraine and Meg Anne are taking us on another wild, intense ride with their brand-new dark, twisty, steamy why choose paranormal romance series, that’s for sure! And if you’re an audio lover like I am, you’ll probably die and go straight to heaven, just like I did, with a multicast like this one. I mean – Stella Hunter, John Hartley, James Joseph, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, and J.F. Harding all in one audio – and in a high-steam story, chock-filled with secrets, mate bonds, danger and murder like this one? Eargasm deluxe! Even if audios aren’t usually your jam, I highly recommend to give this one a try!

The Cast, The story, The Spice... Perfection
K. Loraine and Meg Anne did it again. Absolute perfection. I loved The Mate Games - War and I was a little apprehensive heading into Deal with the Demon. Can they beat the perfection they put out last time?! Yes, YES THEY CAN! I loved every second from the time I flipped the first page until I read the last line! I didn't think I could love a series more than I loved War... but I'm looking forward to that being changed because this has so much potential and I just know they're going to make it soar!
The Audio for me was second to none but it always is with these two. I read the book first and then jumped in with the Audio and the cast brought the characters perfectly to life. Stella's British accent for Rosie is beautiful. J.F Harding brought our protective Ben's stutter perfectly to life.. having suffered with a stutter in early childhood I felt this so deeply. He made me feel that deep push to get the words out and the deep breathing to calm himself before speaking so he could get them through clearly! Ugh all of it I felt it all! The others were cast perfectly too the voices are matched wonderfully to the characters and performed to such an amazing level. I can't wait to see what Claimed by the shifters brings!!

Good continuation of the Mate Games
The story was good. The ensemble cast as usual is fabulous. But I’m afraid all the stuttering spoiled it for me. It actually made me very anxious and tight chested as if I couldn’t breath. Please say that as soon as they mate, it will miraculously cure him.

Wow, what an introduction to RH and PRN!
Wow, what an introduction into two new tropes #reverseharem (RH) and #paranormal (PRN)!
It was an incredible yarn but best experienced in audio as its multi-cast #duet and it is phenomenal! I've also found two new narrators #jamesjoseph and #johnhartley to add to my list!
If you are reading, remember to read the prequel "Promised to the Night" which is included in the audio.
This is full of smut and Rosie is such a sl*t and can barely keep her knickers on from one chapter to the next while pleasuring the demon and her mates, but perhaps that's because she's a vampire. What I didn't get was surely if you mate with one, you can't mate with everyone?? Anyway I suppose I'll get used to the idea as it's my first shape shifter book too!!
I now can't wait for book #2 to drop next month and I may be in the minority but I'm on Gavin's Side! 😉
Narrators:
Gavin = John Hartley
Pan = James Joseph
Asher = Teddy Hamilton
Remi = J.F. Harding
Ben = Jacob Morgan
Rosie = Stella Hunter

Pure aural decadence of the highest order!
The summer of 2022 was amazing because it gifted the world with the first Mate Games series from the genius writers K Loraine and Meg Anne. I became instantly addicted to that series, it was practically perfect and I have constantly re-read it because that story and those characters mean so much to me.
So, how do K Loraine and Meg Anne top that? If I was them I would be too daunted to even try. The fans adored Sunday and her four men so will we ever be able to live up to that? I really should have had more faith. Not only did they live up to it, they clearly just sat down and went right everything we ever want to put in to this series lets just do it! This is next level and there are no safe words ;)
And I am here for it. This is a scorching hot, filthy, decadent, intensely sexy and thrilling ride of a book....and its only book 1!!! I don't know if I can stand it but I think it is official and I will submit to K Loraine and Meg Anne wherever they want to take me.
At the centre of this new series, is Roslynn Blackthorn, (played with an exceptional British accent by Stella Hunter) who is the kind, sweet, naive and unworldly princess who ends up on the run and hides out in Aurora Springs, Alaska. But she is also clever, brave and resourceful and determined to do whatever she must to keep her family safe. It is hard not to love her.
She finds allies in the elusive but sexy hacker Asher and the Shifter Mercer Twins Ben and Remi. An added bonus, missing from the first Mate Games, is the MM element between Asher and Remi and just praying that develops over the next three books.
But there are a couple of seductive anti-hero bad boys in this one too. Our Rosie ends up in an intense "deal" with the wickedly enticing demon, Pan (played to perfection by James Joseph) which awakens her latent sexual desires and then of course, there is the little matter of her estranged husband, the vampire Duke of Tears, Gavin who will do anything to track down his wife.
I love this book so much, it is just too intoxicating and there are plenty of hot and racy scenes so as not to disappoint you.
Before we go any further, you can ONLY experience this book in audio. The authors have assembled for you a handpicked stellar cast of actors to PERFORM this book for you like your very own audio drama. It's the height of aural decadence going on here with a smorgasbord headed up by the Queen of Audio herself, Stella Hunter. She rules over all she surveys, as usual, but absolutely crushes it as the sweet kindhearted Rosie who just happens to need a bit (OK a lot) of pain to go with her pleasure. Her talents are put on another showcase in this one as she takes on everyone from a no nonsense American shifter barmaid, a creepy Irish vampire and everyone's favourite demon, Lilith. I could listen to Stella all day, everyday....and that's not far off reality.
Returning to play in this series are the truly wonderful J.F Harding as my personal favourite, the grumpy Alpha Ben and James Joseph in an absolutely sensational Tom Ellis-esque turn as the demon Pan. I spend way too much time imagining (and praying) for these two actors to do more stories together **Hint to the Audio Universe**
Joining the Mate Games Universe in this book are some high calibre actors, the silkily seductive John Hartley really brings the sadist vampire Gavin to life in a way no one else can. Teddy Hamilton was born to play the moody and sarcastic hacker Asher and brings his unique humour to the book which sparks beautifully with the equally brilliant, and his regular collaborator, Jacob Morgan who plays the irresistible flirt Remi. You can see why #Jeddy is an electric fan favourite and the authors have delivered them up to the fans on a platter in this one.
This is one of those magnificent gems of a creation which had me praying that the audiobook would never end. Every chapter, every twist, every moment had me salivating for more and made me want to hit replay again. I have listened to this multiple times and it never ever fails to deliver. I love you Meg and Kim!!! Give us all the books, now!!!

What an opener
What an opener! This first book in the Mate Games Pestilence series has it all, swoony shifters, hot vamps, devilish demons, romance, a bit of MM action and even a tail.
This is a brilliant introduction to a new group of characters, with a few spicy moments and some scenes that will have you laughing so hard.
I cannot wait to see what happens next.

My new favourite Demon, Pan: Mon Petite Monstre!
What a ride! Such a deliciously delectable dalliance in debauchery with my new favourite Demon...Pan: Mon petite monstre!
Pestilence has never felt so good.
Keep those water bottles filled and fans and air conditioners set to high! You’re in for one hell of a hot n spicy thrill in what is shaping up to be another marvellous Why Choose? hit series by the writing dream team of Meg Anne and K Loraine.
If you thought the Mate Games War was outta this world: then prepare thyself: Pestilence is not just hot n spicy, it's tasty n saucy, and I'm living for this!
This is Roslyn Blackthorne’s spicy, heart racing, pulse pounding story and features:
💜 Sassy Virgin Vampire Hybrid Heroine
💜 Grumpy Vampire Duke
💜 Purple Demon with fancy body parts
💜 Nosy hacker with boundary issues,
💜 Angsty wolf shifters who like to share,
💜 Sword crossing,
💜 Plenty of group activities,
Rosie faked her death to get out of her marriage with Gavin, and to make sure he doesn’t find her, she summons a demon and Pan grants her wish, but as is always the case with Demon deals: there is a catch, and unlike other Demons, Pan is not after Rosie’s soul, he wants to posses her body and her blood! Fair trade right? 😉Rosie then decides to make a new life for herself in a small town in the Alaskan’ wilderness where she finds her hunky hacker and the sexy shifter twins and that’s when the fun begins and the heat soars!
Again we have a #MasterCast performing in Duet, starring:
The delicious Stella Hunter as Roslyn or Rosie, who is a Vampire Hybrid, with Stella’s hot AF British accent – my girl crush keeps growing and I’m living for it!
John Hartley as the jilted ‘Dom’ to Rosie’s ‘Sub’ husband Gavin – so growly with his seductive British accent. I'm totally loving #AlphaJohn!
Teddy Hamilton is Asher the Human hacker who Rosie enlists to help with her fake identity after faking her death and leaving Gavin!
JF Harding and Joseph Morgan are the cheeky and sexy AF, golden retriever wolf-shifter twins: Bennet & Remington Mercer, who love to share. Now I’m a Vampire Witch hybrid and wolves are not my thing usually, but holy hot puppies Batman, just like in The OG Mates Games, JF Harding has me falling for a wolf, and “sweet baby girl” can we take a moment for Jacob Morgan…Ummm his sexy Southern twang gets me every dang time! I adore him and his performance in this book, was a standout!
Finally, my favourite: James Joseph as Pan the devilishly desirable demon who loves to break into French and I’m so here for it – JJ’s French accent is seductive AF not to mention his fancy tail, I mean: trust JJ to make this Vampire Witch hybrid, fall for a Demon: and he is perfect in his portrayal of the possessive and domineering Pan.
This All-Star cast of fabulous voice actors were outstanding, not only in their performance of their main roles, but they were exceptional as the entourage of interesting side characters that you can’t help but fall for and want to get to know – did I mention we have a trio of Gargoyles, and they are not just any old Tom, Dick and Harry😉 we have some amazing British accent work by John and JJ: Cockney, Scouse and Scottish – just brilliant!!
Overall, I absolutely devoured this audiobook!
Meg Anne and K. Loraine nailed this once again, and I cannot wait for Claimed by Shifters next! All the stars every time!

Amazing Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Fascinating
The great writing team of Meg Anne and K. Loraine have outdone themselves with this spinoff of the “Mate Games” series, not only did they turn up the heat a notch but they introduce some new and exciting paranormal characters. The audio also included the prequel, Gavin Donoghue and Roslyn “Rosie” Blackthorne’s arranged marriage and rush wedding, Gavin, a Dom had plans for his new wife, have her submit to him completely, but he never had time to because she fled and then got herself killed. Or did she, Roslyn, definitely fled after faking her own death, and needing a new identity she knew who she needed to see to make that happen, Asher, who is hiding out in small shifter town in Alaska. One problem with that town is they hate vampires, and Roslyn, who is a hybrid, part human, part vampire, would be considered an enemy despite never fully turning into a vampire, which made her special and the reason the Donoghues wanted her blood. Asher who is hiding away up in Alaska agrees to help Roslyn and they come up with a new look and identity for her, Nadia, the only problem is ridding of her scent, he was going to get a witch to help but after too much time on her hands and moonshine Roslyn winds up summoning a demon, Pan, and they make a deal that will hide who she is, a deal that will bind her to him. Asher gets her a job at the Mercer brother’s bar and an apartment to live above the bar. The Mercer twins are wolf shifters, Remington and Asher are more than friends, the chemistry between them is smoking hot, Bentley, the older of the two and the alpha, is drawn to Nadia/Roslyn and after seeing her helplessness he takes it upon himself to help her. Nadia/Roslyn is building a new life with these men, Ben, Remi, and Asher, and she wants that except Pan is threatening their existence and when she tries to tell him she filled the deal, he has none of that. Another complication arrives in Alaska, Gavin is there and learns that she is still alive. And something else is amiss in Aurora Springs, Alaska, someone or something is on a killing spree and they arrest the wrong person. Wow, this is one action packed and brilliantly plotted story, it has plenty of drama, some humor, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions, and some steamy romance.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration and lineup of talent, J.F. Harding, Jacob Morgan, James Joseph, John Hartley, Stella Hunter, Teddy Hamilton were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life, Each one as brilliant as the other in their prospective roles and their performances and voices complemented each other’s perfectly. Stella Hunter nailed it as Roslyn, British accent and all, John Hartley’s Gavin was alpha all the way, just as intended, Teddy Hamilton’s Asher was perfection too, James Joseph’s Pan was both chilling and hot, Jacob Morgan was great as Remi and last but not least was J.F Harding’s Bentley, he made it so easy to fall in love with him. This multi-cast is a definite treat for the ears, they set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Holy Smokes! I had no idea going into this book that it could get hotter and more spicy than Mate Games, but Meg Anne and K. Loraine proved they could!
Audio performed by Stella Hunter, JF Harding, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, and James Joseph.
Loved how this book started, setting the scene for why and how Rosie 'died'..
If you love a why choose, 5 alarm spicy PNR romance that doesn't keep you waiting for the sexy times than you will love this book.
Do yourself a favor, though, and grab the audiobook because those spicy scenes are next level hot with the delicious voices of Stella Hunter, JF Harding, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan and James Joseph.
The accents alone will do you in and have you panting for the next book!

Bring on Spice and the Plot Twists
After completing the Mate Games with Sunday and her men, I did not think K. Loraine or Meg Anne could top themselves when I realized that The Mate Games was going to involve a lot of books, and clearly, I have misjudged these talented authors.
Pestilence 1 is bit spicier than its predecessors, seems impossible, I know, but this series gives us five men (a human, a set twin shifters, a vampire [who is also her estranged husband], and a demon). Because of the level of spice, please check for the TWs. The plot twists are starting early in this new four book series, and it seems like there is a lot of groundwork being laid without losing the story. The only thing that’s ever bothered me with this world is when conversations happen between characters and then future scenes go on as if those conversations never happened, hence the 4 stars for the story.
Stella Hunter returns to portray all of the female characters, and as always does an amazing job. James Joseph and J.F. Harding also return as new characters, plus the addition of Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, and John Hartley (newish to me). These narrators are some of the best in the biz and really take their respective characters to the next level.

ALL THE STARS!!
ALL THE STARS!! Buckle up for this one, ladies and gentlemen! Kim and Meg Anne have outdone themselves again and we are all at their mercy! Not only is Deal with the Demon worthy of the Mate Games series, it is one of the hottest books I’ve ever read, which is saying a lot considering some of the limitations at play! You can also tell they are just getting started with book 1 (no pressure, ladies). The beauty of this book is that even if you removed all of the steamy business I would love it with my whole heart because the story is well written, engaging, and mysterious. That is rare! Still, be warned that it is MOST DEFINITELY NSFW and you should even consider where you are and who is in the vicinity when you settle in to read/listen. Yowza!!! So many bookmarks… Please visit the Mate Games website for a list of triggers before digging in.
It’s difficult to explain how much and why I love it without spoilers. Kim and Meg Anne have stacked the deck with new irresistible characters to love and loathe, as well as some of the beloved characters from the original Mate Games series. So many incredibly interesting and beyond sexy personalities surround Rosie, making this why-choose romance absolute perfection! Roslyn Blackthorne (Rosie) has faked her death and is on the run. Her world is upside down as she tries to find her new place in an environment and time that are definitely not safe. There are plot twists you will not see coming and layered agendas that deepen the complexity of Rosie’s journey. Even the side characters run this story to a whole new and delightfully layered depth. Gargoyles like Tom, Dick, and Harry are hilarious and wonderful new personalities that bring humor to a dark and twisty world! There is so much going on as new agendas and schemes are introduced and surprises are unveiled. I was completely engaged from start to finish!
When it comes to casting, this series is an example of brilliance with performances in duet. Stella Hunter brings Roslyn to life with vibrant accent work fully expressing her inner strength, wit, and bravery. John Hartley is the dominant and extremely arrogant vampire, Gavin, who also happens to be Rosie’s estranged husband. James Joseph is Pan, the devious and smitten demon with a wandering tail and the best French pet names ever. J.F. Harding and Jacob Morgan are identical twin wolf shifter alphas, Bentley and Remington, who run a bar with a very clever name. Teddy Hamilton is the brilliant and elusive hacker, Asher. I finished and then listened again. It is just that good!! In true Kim and Meg Anne fashion, Deal with the Demon has an exquisitely devious cliffie that will have you counting down to the next book in the series…but we know to expect those shenanigans from these sneaky authors. Don’t miss out and don’t wait to binge. It’s worth it!

Why Choose Paranormal Romance
Deal with the Demon by Meg Anne and K. Loraine is a why choose paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by J.F. Harding, Jacob Morgan, James Joseph, John Hartley, Stella Hunter, and Teddy Hamilton.
This is the first book in The Mate Games: Pestilence series. When you purchase the audiobook, it also includes the prequel novella Promised to the Night.
I loved The Mate Games series and was so excited when they announced they were doing this spin-off series following Noah's sister Rosalyn. They did an amazing job pulling me in from the first chapter. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the chemistry between Rosalyn, Asher, Pan, Bently, Remington, and Gavin. I loved that we got all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Claimed by the Shifters to be released on February 27, 2023.
I absolutely love that they do a full cast of narrators for this series. It really brings the story to life. You can't help but binge the audiobook in one sitting.
I would recommend this book if you like paranormal romances, why choose romances, or fated mate's romances.

Omg!! I'm in love!
Wow... every time another book in this series releases, I think it can't be better than the last, but I'm wrong every time!
This book is the first in this new series, which features Noah's sister, Rosalyn. She's in hiding from her husband, Gavin, after finding out what his family planned to do with her. She runs to Alaska to find the computer genius, Asher, to help her create a new identity.
He helps but can't hide her vampire scent, so she makes a deal with a demon, Pan, and gives up way more than she had planned.
She meets the burly twin shifters at the bar where she will work, and she finds them both irresistible. She starts falling for both Ben and Remi, as well as Asher and Pan. And of course, her husband, Gavin, still owns a piece of her heart.
This book is 5 alarm sexy with lots of drama, action, romance and most definitely steam!! Whhewww!
I loved this book and am looking forward to more!!
I was able to listen to this book and omg I absolutely loved the full cast. The all did such an amazing job on each of the characters!
I received an ALC for my honest review!

Are you ready for Pestilence? Cause she is coming!
After The Mate Games with Sunday and her men I was like there is no way Meg Anne & K. Loraine are going to be able to top what they did here with not only the ending but the entirety of the series. I knew with the ending we hadn't seen the last of this world, but I could have never expected what was to come with Roslyn in Deal with the Demon.
With a delicious spread of men as well as that one naughty demon she can feast upon Roslyn Blackthorne is a lucky girl, except you know the whole having to die thing but I guess you can't have it all...
Aurora Springs Alaska is home now and staying dead is the only way Roslyn can keep her family safe. She needs help from the one person who is supposed to be untraceable, but she found Asher easy enough. Hacker extraordinaire with sandy blonde hair and gorgeous blue eyes he wasn't supposed to be so tempting. He was just supposed to help her become someone new and then that was it, but she can't let go of the pull she has to the human.
Enter Remington & Bentley Mercer, two wolf shifters who own the local bar. The only bar but with two vastly different personalities these boys might just be her ruin but then there is Asher. She can't possibly be having feelings for all three of them, can she?
Oh, and Pan the demon with that lavender gaze that sets her body aflame. Listen, Rosie didn't have a choice she had to make a deal and after all demons are known for making deals that have the protentional to ruin everything.
Rosie is doing what must be done but when bodies start dropping in Aurora Springs for the first time in decades, she isn't the only suspect the sheriff is looking at. There are others who could very well be the cause of all this death but if bodies dropping like flies are the worst of the problem look again. The secrets, and unknown betrayals are just a drop in the bucket for what is to come for Rosie. You mustn't forget the vampire who quite literally has his fangs in her and that pesky Pestilence. There are far too many unknowns hanging in the balance, and this is just the beginning.
I said this with The Mate Games, and I am saying it again go for the audio!! Please, trust me! The cast of narrators has some of your favorites returning like J.F. Harding and James Joseph as well as Stella Hunter literally carrying the voices for every single female who wanders through these pages. Then if that isn't enough to tickle your fancy there is also Jacob Morgan, Teddy Hamilton and John Hartley who is quite new to me but gods he delivered. He delivered so good I had to check myself a couple of times.
Yes, I realize this was longwinded, but I raved about Mate Games, and I adored Sunday as well as all her men but this one y'all this one has something extra. I don't know if it is the secrets that are yet to be revealed, the casting for the narration or just the story with Rosie because she is such a unique character, but I loved this book with my entire heart. I am salivating for book two because we will get more Gavin, yes Gavin. *wink wink*

Super HOT!
I adore duet style books and when you have a full cast it is even more magical! This book is HOT, so if that isn't your thing, keep moving. If you like super spicy paranormal romance, this is a total win. Half vampire half human heroine and her harem made up of a vampire lord, a demon, a pair of shifter twins, and a human. I really enjoyed Rosie's journey and how bat crap crazy her life gets!
