An emotional masterpiece.

This is a beautifully written story. All the pain, doubt and fear took my breath away.

Danger is seen as the typical bad boy hero. He’s got good looks, confidence, swagger, attitude, and he's a super skilled race car driver on his way to his biggest win professionally. I fell in love with Danger the bad boy (but is he bad though?) Or is he only trying to survive the best way he can.

Danger's childhood was devastatingly traumatic and he has been trying to get pass it.  Then all of a sudden his world came crashing down and threatened to ruin everything.

Having Monterey in his life is a blessing he didn't expect, she calms him and makes him want to please her, to be his best and make her proud. However, Dander  believes he doesn't deserve her and he is finding it difficult to let go and trust her with his past, even though he knows she is the best thing that ever happened to him. Will he let down his walls and allow himself to feel,  love and be love?

There relationship started out as pretense but the chemistry between them developed into a wonderful relationship with scorching chemistry, some touching emotional moments and bit of good banter and fun times.

Loved the dual narration of Lacy Laurel and Alexander Neal

Bad boy, on and off the race track, Danger Hudson ,hides his vulnerability . Monterey the daughter of the Team owner, and now his fake fiancee, slowly sees through Dangers mask. There is attraction and chemistry. This book has excitement, mystery and emotion, and also some sexy and hot scenes

Great performance

This storyline has been done quite a few times in the past, the performance definitely sets this one apart. Both Lacy and Alexander give fantastic performance’s and the characters personalities.

Absolutely Fantastic!!

Danger, is a fast-paced, exciting, steamy, and emotional ride. There wasn't a dull moment between bad-boy race card driver Danger Hudson and his fake fiancé, Monterey Grander. Danger and Monterey were perfect together; they balanced each other out; The passion was explosive with off-the-charts chemistry. The characters are very well-developed; the complexity of their personalities and emotions made them totally appealing and authentic. Their story is wonderfully written, suspenseful, humorous, hot, and completely captivating. I couldn't get enough!

Lacy Laurel and Alexander Neal did an excellent job portraying the characters and bringing them to life for the listeners. Danger is a fantastic addition to the Driven World, one I'm definitely recommending.

My first story by this author

This was my first book my this author and I enjoyed it. I would definitely read more books by the author.

It was also my first book in the driven world and I will definitely be reading/listening to more of these.

What a story!

What a story! I loved this fake engagement story. It was fast paced and emotional ride within the Driven world. I have not read a book from the Driven world yet, but this one has definitely made me want to check out the other books! Danger has been running from his past. Monterey doesn't pity Danger and their opposites attract love story will have you clinging to your headphones to keep listening. Their chemistry is perfect and although everything starts out fake, it soon doesn't feel so fake for them. I really enjoyed this story. It was my first book by Logan and I will definitely be checking out his other books. The narrators did a great job getting you into the story and keeping me wanting to listen! Just an overall amazing listen!

Danger & Monterey

Danger was my first Logan Chance book. I’m always happy to discover new authors and add them to my ever growing list of authors I like to read. Logan Chance has been added to the list.
This book was fast paced and intense. Childhood traumas always run deep and mark the person. Danger was no stranger to this and fate dealt him a bad card. When he met Monterey his world changed forever.

Alexander Neal was a new narrator to me but I’m looking forward to listen to his other narrations.

Danger ⚠️

When you feel like you don’t deserve something or someone but things fall into place so that you may have a happy ending well that could describe this book. I loved the characters Danger and Monterey and all the secondary characters. And thanks to one character Danger has to face his past, but Danger is also looking for someone and he’s using all the resources he can to find them. Yes the story has a HEA but for more characters and different events than just love.

I wasn’t completely convinced

I wasn’t completely convinced. I seriously enjoyed Danger’s backstory, but I didn’t feel it connected with the character as he was defined. I mean, it doesn’t really explain neither his passion for car races, nor his love for danger, not even his playboy ways. I’m not sure that kind of trauma–and yes, it was huge trauma–would push someone into being like Danger. And the big revelation about Danger’s past had little to do with the car racing world the story is set in.

He wasn’t a bad character either. He had his moments, and his relationship with Monterey could be cute at times. But he didn’t make sense as it was. Monterey was more consistent, but I felt there wasn’t a lot to define her. She’s ambitious, and to reach her goals, she’s ready to follow her father’s schemes; and she has one thing in common with Danger that she uses to relate to him, and that’s pretty much it. I forgot her broken heart, which is another element that isn’t explored deeply when there was so much potential.

They had some chemistry going on as a couple, and that made for sexy scenes. Not a lot, but there’s clearly a strong attraction between Monterey and Danger.

There was also a tiny theme, about celebrity and the pressure of media and fans. Be it good or bad expectations, Danger feels it and it impacts the way he acts. It’s also at the core of the whole premise: a fake relationship to show another side of the reckless driver.

The audiobook was just okay. The narrators did a good job, though sometimes they lacked the energy needed to keep me focused on the story. And there was a big blunder right at the beginning, showing the audio wasn’t edited properly.
