Summary
Croeso i Gwm Gwrachod, cwm bach diniwed yn y De. Welcome to Witches' Valley, an innocent little valley in the South.
Written by the author of the best-selling Welsh learners' novel Coed y Brenin, this book should help you expand and improve your Welsh, while being both interesting and entertaining. It should be suitable for those who've done a year or more of evening classes, although we'd hope that more advanced learners would also get a lot out of it.
The events, people and places in Cwm Gwrachod are imaginary, in that they exist only in my mind. The funny thing is that as you listen to this book they will exist in your mind too, but entirely through the medium of Welsh.
Please note: This audiobook is in Welsh.

Excellent resource for learners
The narration is very measured and precise, taking the listener through some useful vocabulary and basic grammar. The story is also quite engaging- not Harry Potter, but a welcome change from the contrived scenarios typical of a Welsh textbook.

Beautiful Welsh lesson 👌
What a beautiful Welsh lesson! I have learnt the present and past tense and got ready to go on receptive skills. It is, indeed, a living language.

Excellent for Welsh learners
This was perfectly pitched for someone like me, learning Welsh at A1/mynediad level.
Having the audiobook as well as the written one is invaluable, and I wish there were more where both were available. Colin Jones' delivery is sympathetic to the learner in speed, but excellent in imbuing the sense of the words and phrases. I'm moving on to Coed y Brenin next.
Diolch o galon i y llyfr.

Great beginning Welsh book
Be sure to order the paperback as well, and read along while listening. Excellent alone during your commute. There's a sequel as well. This pairs well with DuoLingo. One day I hope to graduate to Harry Potter in Welsh, but this book is a good first step.
