About this listen
I betrayed him...and spied on him for the enemy.
What he doesn’t know is...I was forced to do it.
Now I have to choose. My life or my heart?
So I promise myself I won’t fall for him.
It’s an impossible vow.
He's 15 years my senior.
Every sinful command that flies past his lips makes me crave him more.
And no matter what, he protects me—even from his family who doesn’t trust me.
If only I wasn’t living a lie.
(Crazed is book three in Mafia Wars New York. It's an age-gap/betrayal/dark mafia romance, interconnecting stand-alone, and guaranteed to have an HEA.)

Another fantastic book.
This family certainly knows how to live life on the edge. With an action packed storyline and characters that are brutal yet show their soft side to their women. I love how the storyline continues through these books. Absolutely brilliant performance from both Kai and Wen.

3rd book in the series
i enjoyed this don't get me wrong, but I think this is the weakest MC book I've read so far. It's not bad by any means, but the first two books in this series were vastly superior. I am however excited for Tristano's story. And to see what else is next in NY.

Maggie Cole does it again!
This is the 3rd book in the Mafia Wars, New York series and in true Maggie Cole style, it does not disappoint. Maggie Cole chooses her narrators well with Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bringing this story to life.
Crazed immediately draws us into the steam that is Massimo and Katiya (which is off the charts) and sets the scene for the rest of the book. You can't deny that the Marino brothers all have similar views and passions when it comes to their 'girl' and will do anything for them, whether it is protecting them or notching up the steam levels in the ... well, any place really!
Katiya has already turned Massimo's family against her as they think she assisted the Abruzzo's in kidnapping Massimo's sister however, Katiya is not what she seems. She desperately craves Massimo's love and attention and although she is surrounded by conflict and her terrible past, she allows fear to control her actions, thinking it is better for Massimo to kill her for being a traitor, than having the Abruzzo's kill her. I must confess that I wasn't too keen on Katiya to start with however, with the help of Kai Kennicott's excellent vulnerable Russian accent, she brought Katiya to life by showing her naivety and I ended up rooting for her.
This book really has it all. We are taken not only on a love/trust rollercoaster of a ride with our two main characters but there is also a good helping of deception, blackmail, torture (I will never look at a pizza cutter or cheese grater in the same way again), suspense, family secrets and surprises. Can Massimo help Katiya overcome her fears, feelings and difficulties to get away from the Abruzzo's and have a HEA ? you will have to read this to find out.
The cliffhanger/teaser to the next book, Carnal, (finally Tristano and Pina's story) has left me counting down the days until its release on the 15th August. Although these books can be listened to as standalones, I recommend that you listen to them from the start as they intertwine with each other perfectly.
I received an advanced copy of this audio book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.

so so good
I'm a massive Maggie cole fan after discovering her first book in the Mafia wars series last year and I highly recommend all of them. this story was just as fantastic as the rest of the books and a truly great performance from both Kai and Wen. I can't wait to put the next book in my pre order as soon as it becomes available.

Very good despite reservations
I have to be upfront and admit that I am not a fan of the betrayal of main characters in romance books, esp when done by hero or the heroine to each other.
I was torn on wether to skip this book or not but I am a huge fan of the author and I did not want to miss out on one of the books of her Mafia Wars series. So I waited a few days and reluctantly went for it. I have to say that I am glad I did because the book was great although the betrayal parts made me feel uncomfortable the plot was so good that it would have been a shame to miss it, especially as the stories are interconnected.
The narrators were outstanding as is the usual for Maggie Cole books. I really like Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott as a duo and have enjoyed their narrations since the Crescent Cove series.
Anyway, I highly recommend you try this audiobook!

Get ready for a wild ride!
Dark, and dangerous, the heat is on this third installment of Maggie Cole's Mafia Wars New York series. Massimo is in love. Katiya is the woman for him, and though much younger, he knew from the minute he saw her, she was the one. She has fallen for him, the wealth, the danger and his huge heart. He understands her needs and she his. But life is never easy. His family doesn't trust her, they feel she is part of the Abruzzo family, and cannot be trusted. Are they far off? Could Massimo be reading her all wrong? Twists, turns and steamy scenes keep us entertained, but there is much more to this couple than is easily seen. The bond is so strong that we literally can feel their emotional turmoil. The understanding of each other's needs is key and their hearts are only open to each other. Not easy to listen to at times, There were instances I wanted to shake Massimo. This alpha male, strong in his role in the family is blind at times. Katiya too, young but having seen so much in her life, is just not seeing the bigger picture. But it's all part of their journey. In true Cole fashion, she plants a few Easter eggs with previous characters and kept my interest the entire time. The suspense and romance is incredible.
One of my favorite teams brings this story to life. Kai Kennicott brings her Russian accent to Katiya and creates the conflicted character. Full of spit and vinegar, she is feisty, yet scared and still exudes the love she feels for Massimo. Wen Ross is Massimo, leaving his heart on his sleeve. He is the strong alpha, has no problem bringing out his dangerous side and easily turns to his feelings of love on. These two always bring a chemistry to their narrations making the story feel realistic and I love them!

Dark Age Gap Mafia Romance
Crazed by Maggie Cole is a dark age gap mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott. This is the third book in the Mafia Wars New York series.
I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Katiya and Massimo. Their relationship was messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Carnal to be released on August 15, 2022 so I can get Tristano and Pina's story.
Wen and Kai did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, age gap romances, or romantic suspense.
