Summary
When Evangeline Lockwood witnesses the murder of a prominent politician, the killers will do everything they can to make sure she can't testify. Since Evangeline's father was once deputy director of the CIA, he knows just who to call to protect his only daughter - MacKenzie Security.
The last thing Cal Colter wants is to get stuck with a babysitting job, but Declan MacKenzie has assigned him the task, and he has no choice but to accept. Cal especially doesn't know what to do with the quirky computer nerd who covers her lush body in baggy clothes and her stunning violet eyes behind glasses. But if Cal knows anything, it's women, and he's just as determined to peel back the layers of this unusual woman as he is to keep her alive.

Short and sweet
Any additional comments?
Whether they are born MacKenzies or absorbed into the family, these men are seriously hot and desirable.
Cal and Evie's story was short and sweet with just enough danger to tilt the scales in favour of love.
I liked the fact that Shane kept popping up and cannot wait for his story later this year.

Family antics
This is the first of this series I have read. Definitely will have to go back to the beginning and start from there. Great family dynamics with sass, humor, hot guYs and strong women.
Love Noah Michael Levine. Main reason I picked this book to get was because I saw he had narrated it. He never disappoints.

Over all a good story but I felt like there was much missing. It is repeatedly mentioned that Eva was still doing things on the computer. Working for the good side now. But it was never brought fully out. Also the turn around between the two was too fast, it wasn't resolved.

Action-packed
Action galore: the story includes murders, trained assassins, hackers, gun battles and more.
The romance is sexy; a lot of pining, petty reactions, etc. first.
The narration is okay - the male narrator's male voice is wonderful but his female voices are "meh"

Not a romance. Male reader gave the woman a ridiculous voice. Story was just an excuse to link descriptions of rough sexual couplings. Characters felt like they were lifted from other books. Plot almost non-existent. Wish "romance" novels came with ratings about sex and violence. Sorry I purchased this.
