What do you do when you can't run and you can't hide? Lauren's daughter, Zara, witnessed a terrible crime. But speaking up comes with a price, and when Zara's identity is revealed online, it puts a target on her back. The only choice is to disappear. To keep Zara safe, Lauren will give up everything and everyone she loves, even her husband. There will be no goodbyes. Their pasts will be rewritten. New names, new home, new lives. The rules are strict for a reason. They are being hunted. One mistake - a text, an Instagram like - could bring their old lives crashing into the new.

Story
The McKay family gathers for a week-long holiday at a rambling old house to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Robert and Mary. In recent years only funerals and sudden, severe illnesses have been able to draw them together, and as they gather in the splendid rooms of Hunting Manor, their differences are soon uncomfortably apparent. For all their history, their traditions, the connective strands of DNA, they are relative strangers. There are truths unspoken, but the question is: How much truth can a family really stand?

Story
Graham Norton's masterful debut is an intelligently crafted story of love, secrets and loss. The remote Irish village of Duneen has known little drama, and yet its inhabitants are troubled. Sergeant PJ Collins hasn't always been this overweight; mother of two Brid Riordan hasn't always been an alcoholic; and elegant Evelyn Ross hasn't always felt that her life was a total waste.

Very very enjoyable!
I downloaded this version of the audiobook, rather than the one more recently released under a different title, because I much preferred this narrator when I listened to the samples.
The story is sweet and (for a concept so strange) well explained. As the book progressed I found myself liking the main character a lot and feeling for her decisions. The ending is very well thought out.
Highly recommended feel-good fiction.

Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book. I m not a fan of sci fi or anything too far fetched but this was nicely done and not over the top on the "weirdness". Very easy to listen to.

I downloaded this one as it looked like an easy listen, I wasn't disappointed at all. I really did enjoy the two totally different lives Jessica/Laura shared. Its a great Chick Lit and well worth a listen, Melaine Rose has a great way of making me laugh out loud, sometimes in public!

Original and fun
Thoroughly enjoyed the book - it's a rare thing to come across such an original idea so well executed. Not your average or expected ending, which I found delightful in itself. I'd say that I'll definitely listen to this one again!
