Summary

When you're mated to an immortal vampire, love is forever. Literally.

In another lifetime, six vampires lost their mates - and their mortality - to an unimaginable evil power. Despite the veil of death separating them, the strength of love draws them together across the ages. But now, if they can’t reunite with the reincarnations of their lost soulmates soon, it may just mean the end of the world.

From the Big Easy to the ancient island of Cyprus and the ritual-steeped nation of Haiti, follow the nightwalkers who are all that stand between humanity and chaos as they try to gather together the prophesied Council of Thirteen. Six vampires. Six reincarnated mates. And... the mysterious Other. Without the Council, the world will fall to darkness and become a wasteland haunted by the undead. But the demon who covets dominion over humanity will stop at nothing to thwart the vampires on their quest.

In the eternal battle between Light and Darkness, love may be the greatest weapon... or the greatest weakness.

From USA Today bestselling author R. A. Steffan and fresh new voice Jaelynn Woolf comes a steamy paranormal romance series perfect for adult fans of vampire fiction. Different

These 3 books in the circle of blood were pretty good. I enjoyed the different take on vampires. The narration did grate on me at first but when I got into the story I didn’t mind it so much.

Dark, dramatic tussle between good and evil!

This audiobook is the first three books in the Circle of Blood series. While these books fall in the paranormal romance genre, that category does not do it justice. The stories are action packed, dramatic and dark with a bit of suspense and magic thrown in for good measure.

Through the centuries 6 vampires have been created by the demon, Bael. These 6 vampires are his greatest failures and the start of his end. There is prophecy that a council of 13 will put an end to Bael's darkness and destruction. As the time approaches for Bael's end, the world goes into chaos and from this chaos emerge the mates of these 6 vampires. Each book focuses on 1 specific vampire finding and claiming his or her mate. In the meantime the growing coven of vampires must battle their enemy.

The overall theme of the series is the age-old tussle between good and evil, dark and light, so on. However not all darkness is evil and vampires, while creatures of the night, are not evil, bloody sucking, night walkers. Well, they are actually bloody-sucking night walkers and they were created by evil. But what they really represent is what happens to evil when it is intercepted by love and recreated into something new.

I like that the books are all connected. While the romance in each story is complete, the larger theme is given equal emphasise and transcends the limits of a single book. There is always a suggestion of what might happen next and I am certainly looking forward to reading or listening to how the plot continues. So far the series has taken us from New Orleans to Damascus and then to Haiti. Where will the characters go next? And assuming that the original 6 members plus their 6 mates are part of the Council of 13, where will the 13th member come from? All questions I am eagerly awaiting the answers for!

Excellent

I loved every minute of this series.
The plot is different and very intriguing. I love the idea of the vampires needing to find their lost soul mate in order to defeat evil. I loved how much action and suspense were in these novels. The excitement level was quite high and the romance was hot.
I thought the narrator did an excellent job and I wouldn't hesitate to pick up more titles narrated by her.
A very enjoyable series and I look forward to picking up the rest of the titles in the series because I am hooked!

Circle of blood

So the first 2 books are narrated really well but Gwendolyn has no idea of an Aussie accent really very poor and annoying, but don’t let it put you off the stories, which are about the vamps finding their soulmates who have been reincarnated. It’s a good premise for the books and tells of a prophecy of 13 vamps defeating the ultimate evil that is the daemon Bael so we know that the stories are following the same theme I look forward to the next 3 and hope there are no more dodgy accents lol..

It surprised me

I think the blurb or the overview of these books is written poorly because yes it is boy meets girl, typical vampire teen book, fate and true love and all that stuff but it is written far better and it surprised me because I bought this thinking it was a Twilight type of book but it is so much better than I had expected and it has left me wanting to know what happens next.
The fake accents annoy me though. I understand why they needed to be added to the story but it is a bit off putting especially when it comes to the Australian and British accents.

Eternal Love

When the fight between Good and Evil hots up it is down to a motley crew of disfunctional vampires to save the world with the help of their eternal loves.

This box set contains books 1-3 of a hot Paranormal Romance with an inttiguing twist on the Legend of Vampires and their fated mates. As well as a baddy to end all baddies.

Can't wait to find out what happens next but fair warning although each couple will get their HEA, the main plot is ongoing...

This book tells the stories of 3 of those vampires and the rest are told in books 4-6.
Love Gwendolyn Druyors narration.

Avoid

Really boring and pathetic. Don't waste your time or credits on this, it's not worth it.

Not for me.

Ended up returning this after the first book. I really wanted to like it, but I struggled to get into the story, and the MCs just didn't do it for me.
Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend it.
