Summary

Cilla

The Beast had Belle. Killian Black has me.

How I got here doesn’t matter, even though he says it does. Says it was my choice. He doesn’t get it, though. It wasn’t ever a choice for me.

And now, he’s changing the rules.

The agreement was one month. For 30 days, I’d be his. He’s no longer satisfied with my body alone, though. He wants my soul, too. Wants every part of me. And even though I can pretend I’m safe when I lie beneath him, this man does something to me. Something wicked.

A thing that will break me.

Killian

Cilla made the choice. She offered the deal. I just took her up on it. So what if I changed the rules halfway in? I’m not apologizing for it.

See, Cilla and me, we’re the same. She’s dark. As dark as me. Something happened to her. Something bad. It damaged her.

But it’s not a hero she seeks. It’s an avenging angel. A dark knight. That, I can do. I’ll slay her dragons, but it’ll cost her, because in return, I want everything. And I’ll take it.

She’s mine.

Killian is a stand-alone dark romance, originally published as Captive Beauty.

WTFFFF

Right first of all there’s no f… warning of torture degrading almost rape storyline!! Holding her down like a dog to give her a smear in front of men, bad treatment treating her so badly and shameful!!
Do not get me wrong there’s submitting and getting help etc but to degrade constantly filming her all the time , who writes this shit without proper warnings
And fgs all’s forgiven after being beaten with a belt.!!
That isn’t helping her! that is breaking her.!!

These storylines needed warnings, I do not like being taken by surprise by these sort of deep storylines, especially when I’m not ready for them! I now am so upset .
A damn warning is all I ask Natasha knight !

Captive from the start!

This book had me listening intently from the start. It was so dark and dirty, I loved it! Sila is strong and challenges Killian in every way, through every move. He is like the big bad wolf, the mega alpha. He takes what he wants, when he wants, but he makes sure you want it. It is a seductive read that sends you into a world full of hate, desire, mob dealings, love, and secrets, and bitter heartache. I never thought that the secrets from their pasts would be so datk, especially Sila's. I cried in utter horror and shock for these characters. Beautiful, dark story.

The narrators were perfect. Sila's narrator had that raspy, sexy voice that seemed to convey someone that had gone through every ounce of pain and struggle she had. Killian's narrator, he made you feel the power he had in every way, and his intense pain.

Couldn't finish it

The whole feel of this story line is degradation, when the story got to the point that a physical reaction meant the victim enjoyed what he'd done I stopped listening. The perpetuation of this kind of misinformation is disturbing to say the least, not my bag can't understand why it rates so highly

SIMPLY FANTASTIC !

Stunning, well crafted, well written dramatic thriller. The MCs are like tigers, beautiful yet dangerous, who finding themselves placed in close proximity, spiral each other in ever decreasing circles until they converge ready to rip and claw literally. This book is not for the faint of heart, the described sexual encounters are consensual, though violent and passionate. They over lay the violent pasts of both parties, which has devoided them of normal natural love instincts leaving only the base need to couple.

These adversaries, enter one contract, but then agree on a different one.

The narration is fantastic by both readers ensuring full enjoyment of the characterisations. Love the dual POVs in the Prologues, and the Epilogues.

Have listened to and enjoyed both narrators before, so this book was a feast.

Well done Audible, another great book!

Emotional rollercoaster.

First time listening to a audio book, I'm now wondering why I didn't do this sooner.
Brilliant story line. Be warned if you have triggers to suicide, rape and drugs, you don't hear of it happening, it's more part of the characters story and where they have come from and what's happened in their past's. Emotional in parts, but with the correct help and support these characters move forward with their lives.

Not bad not great

Not much character development, but not terrible. If you looking to get really into a story this isn't going to grip you and take you on a wild ride. But it an easy read.

Absolute cheesefest!

I don’t think I’ve ever rolled my eyes so much at a book!
I only finished reading it cause it was free. The male narrator was ok, the female was meh.

Good book, bad narration

A great story but the readers were so wooden. Really bad narration ruined the whole book for me.

A 5⭐️ DARK & MULTI-LAYERED JOURNEY TO REDEMPTION

Firstly, this is not, no way no how, a paranormal story.. I think Audible’s got it under the wrong sub-genre and I’ll bring it to their attention in the hopes that they will put it right. Now on with my review...

What a riveting and wholly unstoppable listen this was.. it’s often dark, it’s hot, it’s got a sexy dark alpha anti-hero, it’s got a strong-willed but damaged heroine and it’s got a taboo secret that nobody should endure. But, the main love story between two very damaged characters, starts off as anything but a love story. Killian (aka Kill) is Mafia.. he owns a high class Strip Club and Priscilla (aka Cilla) has a troubled brother who is about to get his legs broken unless Cilla agrees to Kill’s outrageous demands. For 30 days (and nights) Cilla’s body will belong to Kill - he can do whatever he likes to it.. then her brother can go free. In the beginning Kill’s sexual demands were high.. he seeked total domination over Cilla’s body.. but Cilla wouldn’t play by his rules.. and soon they discovered tragic similarities, felt the pull of their sizzling chemistry, experienced passion and awoke dormant emotions. However, before there could be any type of HEA ending, a past demon would have to be slain, submission would have to be felt, dark memories would have to be exorcised, a brother and sister would have to break before they could mend.. and two damaged sibling would have to finally forgive themselves. Only then can healing begin.. and only then will love prevail.

Worth a credit? This bartered captive story had depth, it had raw undiluted heartache, it had drool-worthy, sigh-worthy and fan-worthy sexcapades, it had character growth, it had some intertwined characters from previous books, it had redemption.. and it had love. A captivating story of wills and wants in the push ‘n push relationship between Cilla and Kill, its well-paced well-written chapters flowed easily and it instantly became a very addictive book. But, for me, what made this story truly come alive, truly shine and truly pop was the skilled dual POV narration by Kate and Christian (sigh) whose vocal talents evoked a multitude of feels, enabled graphic mental imagery, made this listen memorable.. and YES made it creditworthy too.

the narrators were great but...

*possible spoiler alert* the Hero was a glorified hypocritical rapist... not my cup of tea. I don't care if it's not violent, or if her body reacts by become aroused... that's not that uncommon, its still rape. so no... the Hero never found redemption in my eyes, especially towards the end when he beat with a belt "for her own good". consensual Bdsm... that's one thing, but that wasn't even...

The Story just ended

This book began so intriguingly. A hint of dark and secrets. The secrets are never spoken but you kind of get the idea of what they are then the book ends. There was so much more story there. What about the other kids that were abused. What about supporting the one girl who tried to speak out. What about their lives moving forward. WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE STORY!! I want my credit back!!

TragiCom

I realize this is fiction, but come on. The tragic childhood experiences by "Kill&Cill", while starting out believable, were so horrific it became laughably contrived. Too many superfluous characters that ultimately proved useless to the plot, had neither justification nor conclusion and left me confused as to the purpose of their inclusion. As for narration, Ms. Genevieve did the best she could with the ridiculous dialogue, however it seemed that when she was aiming for either smoky or wistful she ultimately sounded like a poor imitation of a frog. Mr. Fox, as always, didn't disappoint. He could read the phone book and make it sound erotic. Asking for a refund.

I couldn’t get through this book. It’s glamorizing kidnapping, torture, and rape. I wish I could give no stars.

Wow... in a bad way

These characters need some SERIOUS therapy. I feel horrible for the female lead. She doesn’t even she is being repeatedly raped. Beauty and the beast is NOT a Stockholm example. This one is. I don’t understand how it can have so many good reviews. The only good thing about this is the narrators. They are very good. It’s not their fault the story is so wrong.

Female narrator has a raspy voice like she needs to clear her throat. It’s uncomfortable to listen to. I keep clearing my own throat just listening to her.. ugh

Modern day Beauty and the Beast

I went in completely blind, didn't even glance at the blurb before jumping in, and it was the best decision I could have made! This book completely captivated me and drew me in from the very first paragraph!!! This book completely took over my life for 2 days!!! Natasha really knows how to write a sexy "bad" guy who really isn't that bad!

The narration was amazing!

This is so cringe and has a million trigger warnings for anyone who has ever experienced any level of abuse. Do not recommend.
