A must listen for anyone starting out.

Purchased the paper book and looked it up on audible, I listen to it as I jog round the block…train and learn. I listen to it over and over as it’s easy to listen to and easy to follow. I read the paper book 10 minutes a day, also purchased Chump to Champ 2…again great book.

Great for beginners and a refresher for old pros

Ever since I saw Rocky when I was a kid, I've been interested in boxing. Listening to this audiobook was like having a personal trainer with me every step of the way. I let several years go by before I picked it up again. This book does an excellent job of describing the boxer's stances. Although much of this was a review, I was happy to have it as a refresher. I had forgotten so much. The accompanying PDF is excellent because it has several photos and includes information that complements the audiobook. I found this to be a great value, and if you are interested in learning boxing for the first time or are an old pro who needs a refresher, this is an excellent value.

A good book for boxers and health enthusiasts

I have always been a fan of boxing when there were personalities like Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, and the "iron" Mike Tyson. But what myself and many others did not realize was that boxing is good for fitness and self defence. And having listened to this book, I realized it emphasizes good health as well. So I would recommend this book to not just those interested in boxing, but for those who want to stay fit, healthy, and be able to defend themselves.

Great guide!

As a complete beginner intrested in all things health and wellness, I loved this book and particularly appreciated the wonderful tips for self-defense, the clear instuctions, the stories and the infused motivation! Highly recommend!

Powerful Book!

Any sport gives you so much of confidence in life for a person but boxing sport is something which gives you confidence with little extra adrenaline rush. This book is properly set up for beginners with all the possible training tips and instructions which are pretty easy to implement. Definitely recommended!

Great for aspiring amateurs and pros

Really enjoyable book, with vast knowledge embedded throughout. The book details some of the aspects of boxing that go under the radar such as the mental side of boxing, in terms of having to constantly think, and remain aware when in the ring.

I particularly liked the emphasis on the importance of footwork and maintaining distance in order to control where the fight goes.

Amazing!

Awesome gift!

I got this book for a friend who has always been interested in boxing but did not know quite where to start. This book did a great job of teaching him about the sport and gave him the confidence to sign-up to his local boxing gym. He enjoyed the narration and how the information was relayed. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in Boxing!

Now I know the theory, just got to put in the work

Passionately narrated, nice change from the generic accents normally featured in audiobooks. The audiobook is split into bite sized chunks not just long chapters. Learnt so much about out-boxers, swarmers, sluggers and that the ideal boxer must learn all styles to be a master. From basic jab combos to the mind game, I feel like this book covers it all.
