Summary
Four beastly princes. One awkward bookworm. An enchanted world of fae, magic, and danger.
I’ve always loved fairytales. I never imagined I'd actually be in one.
When my father wanders into the enchanted realm of the fae, I know I have to go after him. And when he gets imprisoned, I'll do anything to save him, even trade my freedom for his. I had no idea I'd end up imprisoned by four sexy fae who turn into beasts at night.
I have to win my freedom, and that means making a bargain with them. They must find their mates in order to break the curse. If I can help them do that, they'll set me free. Sounds simple, right?
It's not. Because against my better judgment, I'm starting to fall for these beastly princes. One is smart and sweet, the other mysterious and deadly, another flirty and confident. The last prince is handsome, strong, has a wicked temper, and is dead-set against breaking the curse. Why does he want to keep me here forever?
But it's not just my freedom on the line. If I don't break the princes' curse soon, all the magic in the Enchanted Vale will be stolen by the evil—and stupidly hot—Prince of Thorns. And I'm not letting my princes stay cursed.
Not after I've fallen in love with them.
Bonded by Thorns is a steamy adult Beauty and the Beast retelling set in a fantasy fae realm. In this version, our beautiful bookworm doesn't have to choose between the four sexy fae princes. It is a full-length novel that ends on a cliffhanger. It includes MF and MM content. It is intended for mature listeners only.

Alright
This book was entertaining, but not particularly well-written. The main character's personality is inconsistent. She's called observant and then chided for not noticing obvious things. She's called clever and then doesn't grasp simple stuff. It's like she moulds to whatever is convenient to the situation rather than having a defined personality. The concept is fun, and the princes are too, they're interesting, even if they feel a little 2D. It's almost like it was written for a younger audience and then aged up to add sex scenes. It does keep you curious, though.

Story is kinda weak. Overhyped by booktok.
There is a male and female narrator but they split the work per chapter and not per female/male character. i don't really like that.

BookTok staple
Is it badly written? No. Is it a masterpiece? Also no. I think BookTok and online trends have made the target audience clear, which sacrificed some of the finesse that the story and execution of the book needed. Would recommend perhaps but wouldn’t read again. Personally, I struggled with the female narration, it made it all feel a bit juvenile and considering the content, made a lot of the “smut” very difficult to listen to.

Fantastic
I’ve always loved this book I’ve read it as an ebook and a paperback many times over. The audio book was just magnificent.
The narrators really did a superb job getting emotions and tones across.
This book is still one of my favourites to come back on again and again, with the release of the third book and now waiting until summer 24 for the 4th I love to go back to re live the story again. This is one story that is so beautifully written i just can’t get enough.
5/5 stars across all aspects.

Poorly written
I just didnt like it… I think in 2023 a retelling of Beautey and the beast dosent have to be all «me big man, save you weak little girl»… I think Rosalina is whiny, the beasts are cliches of «the nerd», «the brute», «the bad boy», and Caspian who is like the Rhysand you ordered from Wish..

Perfect for a guilty pleasure read, but dont expect too much
Absolutely ate this audiobook up, and I did finish it within 48 hours. The performance of the voice actors are great. The concept is great, and I love the amount of princes there are and their differences. However, some of the writing leaves a bit to be desired. The heroine feels a bit Y/N like, which is great, cause you can put yourself in her shoes no matter what - but also its a bit weird to try to decipher her as all she does and is described as is contradictory throughout the story. I feel like I didnt snd up knowing who she truly was, the princes dont have a lot of depth to them, but maybe this will be developed in the other books. The description sometimes felt like it was cut short by giving you straight directions of what you were meant to feel rather than guiding you gentle there. All that said however, I did have a fun time reading this - and thats what matters!! I’ll be reading the next book, hopefully it’ll be on audiable soon :)
