When the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his first name. But he's not alone. He's surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade - a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible stone maze. Like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why or how they came to be there - or what's happened to the world outside. All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything - even the Grievers, half-machine, half-animal horror that patrol its corridors, to try and find out.

Overnight they go from soldiers to bosses, and their crew is held together by loyalty and love. But taking the reins of power comes at a high price. Now, with Diego at their back and a traitor in their midst, they find themselves between a kilo and a hard place, ready to spill blood to stay on top.

Cʟᴇᴀʀ eyes commercial
I m still in the process of listening. But oh boy. Please do not use this narrator again. I love the k’wan books and have read quite a few of them. This guy sounds like Ben Stien the clear eyes guy. Please stick to Cary Hite or Honey Jones. They're much better and put feeling and emotion into their readind. Listening to Gabe is like eating a white chics baked Mac n Cheese. It's Bland af.

STORY IS GREAT BUT NARRATION HORRIBLE
I loved the concept of the story but the narration was horrible. It’s was no effort in the voice changes except when trying to mimic the Hispanic or Spanish characters. Keep up the great work K’wan your storytelling is great!!!

strengths and weakness
In order to step into our own reality of leadership, we all must start out as followers in order to learn how to lead others. I for one have always been a leader. It never set right with me with following decisions others make for me. I understand in some cases we can’t choose. I loved this book because Prince was a follower first, whom made the underworld a lot of money. He then came into recognizing his own strengthsand abilities to becoming his own boss. I love this book also because it shows you how you must fight for what you believe in and know when to cut your losses. It is a lesson for me in independent business ownership, merging with a stronger brand, knowing your numbers, supply and demand. I hated so many people had to die just trying to eat off crumbs that are lefts for rats and roaches. I feel that this book will show you the difference between eating off others plates and having your own plate. I think everyone should read this book.

Narrator is boring
The story is hard to follow because my mind wanders due to the narrator being so boring. He doesn’t give each main character their individual voices or tones, they all sound the same. If a character is yelling or displaying emotion of any kind it doesn’t translate. This is the 3rd time I’ve tried to get through the whole book and it’s hard because the narration is so dull. I love Kwan books and I like 50’s shows, so I had high expectations for this book, but it’s not giving, and I honestly believe it would hit differently with a better narrator. Thanks.

"ABSOLUTELY AWESOME"
What did you love best about Blow?
It is quick paced and yet you get multiple characters that are fully developed and worth caring about. Having not read any of the previous novels, K'wan led me along and like the proverbial onion unraveled a fabulous standalone story.
What did you like best about this story?
The overall plot is very entertaining
Any additional comments?
I think Gabe did an excellent job narrating this story. I feel as though he put real emotion into what he was reading. He really puts the reader right into the center of the action. It's refreshing to hear someone new narrate a Kwan title.

Decent Story
This is a decent story over all. I read it via audible.com - as I do most of my books- and this narrator was TERRIBLE. It was down right painful to listen to him but I made it through. K’wan if you are reading this review, CARY HITE is the BEST NARRATOR for your books! He brings those characters to life in a memorable way. They’re memorable anyways because of your writing but truth is truth and Cary does an amazing job. Now moving on to another K’wan book…
