Summary
The manhunt has officially begun.
Now the target of a game-wide Holy War, Ned is forced to flee the Onyx Sands.
The odds are stacked against him; Tyrann has tens of thousands of followers, a religion that’s spreading like wildfire, and a powerful god that will be stepping into the world of EBO in a matter of days.
Meanwhile, Ned’s allies are a squirrel-exploding bard, a repurposed home security system who takes her instructions far too literally, and a wildly unreliable talking axe named Frank.
But even as the inevitable conflict draws closer, change is coming to EBO. An old power is stirring, bringing with it strange new enemies, fearsome challenges, and rewards that every player will be vying to obtain.

the action, the excitement and the humour are only matched by the amazing narration. if you like Frank and hate the moon this is for you

One the best climaxes I've ever read.
Almost everything about this book is good, but the ending is a phenomenal piece of work and I think I'd listen to 15 hours of just about anything to get the pay offs it gives.

Well written, well read, well done!
I almost never leave reviews but I can’t help myself for this one.
Started listening to LitRPG about a year ago to add to my mostly sci-fi and fantasy audible library and picked up this series about 5 days ago.
This is MMO indulgence of outstanding proportions and it has earned a place among some of the top LitRPG in my collection. Of all of them though this one has had had me fist pumping with every successful encounter, instance and achievement more than I would have thought possible.
If you like MMOs and you like LitRPG then I cannot see a reality (virtual or otherwise) where you wouldn’t love this book.
I’m off to download the next chapter while I pray that VR achieves some semblance of this gaming within my lifetime.

Can't wait for the next already!
Had to stop myself at several occasions from over indulging as this story is to amazing not to savour. The dynamic between Ned and Frank only grows with each chapter and the richness of the lore/world and the well thought out mechanics come together to tell a truly unique and impeccable LitRPG, something that is harder and harder to do as the genre has become more and more popular. Well done for making such an incredible story and I can't wait for the next already.
