Summary
Books one through five in the half-million copies sold Black Flagged Series!
”For fans of Tom Clancy, Brad Thor and Vince Flynn”, comes a “24-style” thriller conspiracy and action by USA Today and Washington Post best-selling author Steven Konkoly.
ALPHA (Book 1):
A “retired” covert operative will do anything to guard his darkest secrets...
Daniel Petrovich, formerly part of the Department of Defense's infamous Black Flag program, protects a secret buried in the deepest vaults of the Pentagon. Blackmailed into executing one final mission for his previous commanding officer, Daniel's carefully constructed "life" rapidly disintegrates into a relentless federal manhunt - and a "24-style" race against the clock to suppress the shocking truth about his past. To survive, he'll release the darkest side of his concealed identity. A dark side with few boundaries - and even fewer loyalties.
REDUX (Book 2):
Two years after shocking Washington, DC with a brutal betrayal, General Terrence Sanderson prepares for a triumphant return. With his illegal covert operations group resurrected, he waits in the shadows for the right moment to demonstrate the grim necessity of the Black Flag program. His opportunity may arrive sooner than expected.
At Langley, Karl Berg is appointed to a new position with the CIA's National Clandestine Service. As senior liaison to the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Intelligence Center, he makes a disturbing discovery. Russian Federation intelligence services are secretly scouring Europe to find Anatoly Reznikov, a rogue Russian scientist at the top of every nation's WMD watch list. While the Russians pursue Reznikov, Berg goes "off the books" again and sends one of Sanderson's Black Flag teams to investigate.
APEX (Book 3):
A tense alliance between General Sanderson and the CIA narrowly averts an apocalyptic attack by Islamic fundamentalists in Europe, but ultimately fails to recover the virus canisters. With the biological weapons still missing, the specter of an attack against the United States looms dangerously closer.
Desperate to stop Al Qaeda, Daniel Petrovich's "black ops" team is sent to investigate the last lead provided by Anatoly Reznikov, the twisted scientist responsible for designing the virus. What they uncover will shake U.S. authorities to the core.
VEKTOR (Book 4):
With the most recent bioterrorism threat against the United States neutralized and Dr. Anatoly Reznikov in secret custody, CIA Deputy Director Karl Berg proposes a more permanent solution to prevent future attacks: a covert raid by General Sanderson's Black Flag unit against Vektor Labs, deep inside Russia...to destroy a bioweapons program that should have ended years ago.
Through an intricate web of unsavory alliances, deviously orchestrated political maneuvers and shockingly brutal black-ops sanctions, Karl Berg will set in motion an unstoppable chain of events that could ignite a new Cold War.
OMEGA (Book 5):
A joint US-Russian Special Forces raid against a hidden laboratory yields an alarming discovery.
Anatoly Reznikov, the deranged bioweapons scientist stolen from US custody a few years earlier, vanished minutes before the attack - taking his deadly work with him.
In the United States, a diabolical conspiracy emerges that nobody saw coming - and only one group can stop!
Steven's novels are recommended for fans of Brad Thor's Scot Harvath, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, Brad Taylor's Pike Logan, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Lee Child's Jack Reacher, L.T. Ryan's Jack Noble and C.G. Cooper.

loved it, but it is not a complete series...
loved the book, but paid my money for a complete series, as I like to experience books in full, only to find after investing many hours that it is not complete at all!
please do not advertise as complete when there is still a book to write, so disappointing when it is all comin to a conclusion!

Black Flagged ... Not complete!!
I started this ‘Complete Series’ thinking this is good value and it really is quite action packed if not a little disjointed and overly detailed in others. But the final kicker is it not being complete and that’s very frustrating!!

very good listen but.....
Really enjoyed this box set , trouble is it's called the complete series. I was disappointed to reach the end and realised it's not finished, also really disappointed there seems to be no sign of the next book .
Still a good listen though .

The potential for a great box set
I must admit i was totally enthralled by the first 3 books but the final book left me bemused. The jumps were very dramatic. In some parts the attention to detail was amazing but then in other parts very slap dash. Is there a follow up book?
Are there fully unabridged books available? I think lots of my questions may well be answered as they ended up on the editing room floor.

i wish i had read the reviews
For the use of one credit it was well worth it, some interesting plot lines and some real drama, i really enjoyed the Alex Fletcher series so was looking forward to this series. On the whole i enjoyed it, despite being very disjointed due to the editing of the downloads. the big problem is that it seemed to run out of steam so rehashed previous scenarios in different guises and some of the action was very hard to believe, and then it stopped ! i thought i had got the tracks out of sequence or there was something that didn't download. Sadly it wasn't. After 67 hours your left hanging like an old Batman episode on tv. Don't miss next weeks exciting episode, same bat time, same bat channel,............... but there isn't one !!!
if you like an end, any kind of end to a story this is not for you.

Every book is worth reading at least once
I believe that every book and film is worth seeing at least once. The art of telling the story. I could just not get in to this one... If its John Grisham the way you fall in to the story, the narrative you want to know more and more, with this one... I should have probably read it not listened to it... it like the narrator is bored and mumble for the sake of mumbling... ruined the book

It's different, but in a good way
Ooh, a boxed set, and all for one credit. Bargain. I'll have that. First of all, it's actually one story in several volumes - think 'Lord Of The Rings' - so you're not getting lots of different books, just one long one.
To begin with it did seem looong. Not much happened after the scenario was explained. Lots of loving family stuff and random technical equipment introduced - mostly in quite a lot of detail, presumably so those preparing for a pandemic with violence will know exactly what to buy. However I began to realize that what I was reading was not some gung ho Rambo type of novel but a realistic 'what would quite possibly happen given the circumstances' type of novel. The gradual and 'natural' breakdown of a small community given the situation was well written and well paced. Others have commented on a perceived poor/ lack of ending. I didn't find that. I thought it wrapped up quite well. I'm not sure it ends up on my must listen again pile (not many do) but it is a thoughtful book/series and kept me listening all day for several days. Money well spent.

Not the complete collection!
This is a reasonable airport paperback stand "thriller". A reasonable plot with a couple of good twists however, the writing isn't great.
Be warned though, after investing 60+ hours of your life into this series you will end up needing to fork out for at least two more before you actually get to the end!
Dissapointing considering the package is billed as the compete series. A simple Google search alerts you to the fact that there are at least 7 books in this series. That's on me but, I hope anyone else who goes for this reads this and knows what they will be getting.

Not literature, but a way to pass the monotony
It isn't up there with the thrillers that make you really strive to think it all through. But when I have 3000 screws to put in a roof, it's good long fodder to get me through the day. Nothing wrong with it except perhaps the incessant naming of guns and the diameter of their ammunition.
