Bettany Hughes
She is a remarkable woman. her documentaries are brilliant. she has made me want to go there and see the things she has talked and written about.
This interview is very interesting as she brings in her family and how they react to the things and places she takes them to, giving it a more realistic touch and not just back in the mists of Time. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will buy the Audible book.

cut too short
Why does it end so abruptly? They were literally still in the middle of their conversation.

This historian speaks with heartfelt passion......
This historian writes and speaks with such heartfelt passion. She buries her fingers into the mud of our past and with her stained fingers, communicates her universal vision, unmarried by prejudice or time. Brilliant.

First audio book of many I hope
I can not wait to listen to Bettany's first audio book after hearing this interview.
As a fan of her historical studies, I hope that this will be followed by all of her past titles too.

Great learning experience
I listened more than once to many chapters. I recommended this wonderful book to half a dozen of my friends. It offers a good view in a subject that is rarely handled with this level of courage and thinking quality.
