Poor Narration

The stories are adequate but the narrator is poor. The narration is far too swiftly spoken for kids, mine are 7 and 9.

These stories are impossible to follow!

Some of these stories are extremely hard to follow and seem to make no sense at all. I genuinely wonder if this nonsensical "word salad" is intentional and designed to make the stories soporific?! It also seems as though the reader was only given one "take" when reading each story: she often stresses the wrong part of sentences, mispronounces words and occasionally stumbles over a word and has to read it again (this isn't edited out). As you can imagine, this doesn't help the listener figure out what's going on. Maybe they're just not for us, but I sadly can't recommend.

It works!

I was very skeptical to begin with, but willing to try anything. My 5 year old was sleeping at the earliest 10.30pm every night! I was shocked when the first night I put this on he was asleep by 9pm!! He said he didn’t like the first story but the rest were good. Either way I have to recommend!

Possibly the worst narration I’ve encountered

Need I say more. Dreadful narration. Almost impossible to listen to. My boy who loves stories switched off immediately. The accents this narrator uses are a joke.

Uninspired and Profane

I don't know how this has a 5.0 rating. The narration is uninspired, and as other reviewers have noted the narrator says "s***" within a children's story. Good lord. Since this review is intended for adults and not for kids, I'll ask the question: why the f*** is this titled Bedtime Stores FOR KIDS?

I've never seen review astroturfing at this level. The 5.0 rating is making me consider cancelling my audible subscription because I cannot trust the biased reviews I'm being fed.

Terrible

Not at all calming and entirely inappropriate for children. Narrator reads to quickly and story is inappropriate, with cussing.

not meditative, contains expletives

This is audio book is completeky inappropriate for kids and not at all as advertised. Do not play this for your kids. The voice is not relaxing and I have counted at least three vulgar words, including "sh***" . I am extremely upset.

The author has done a very good job!

There's a lot of information available about human life throughout this book when I'm going to look at the price list, then the book would be the first of my favorites!
