Summary

Amanda Graham inherited a rundown bed and breakfast, a starving cat, and some dead guy who's buried in her garden!

What should've been a simple remodeling project and a new business in a small Oregon beach town winds up with her uncle named as the number-one murder suspect, a slew of odd neighbors and problematic townspeople, and Amanda wanting to just sit down and eat her weight in chocolate pie.

Sure, she could pack her bags and travel back to LA...or should she dig in, heal from her failed romance, and find a whole new set of friends and adventures in Ravenwood Cove?

And how could a quiet little coastal village have so many secrets?

A five star story

This is an extremely well written and compelling story with lovable, believable characters. While the narrator has quite a strong American accent, it wasn't unlistenable, in fact I listened to the whole thing in one sitting. The dropped 🌟 on my scoring was for the sound tech, as the voice was very tinny at times. However, don't let this put you off because you'll be missing out on a great tail 😻👍

Easy read and enjoyable

The only problem was there is much of a delay between each chapter, its annoying.

Loved it!

Mystery enough to keep me intrigued, interesting characters enough to keep me interested and cozy enough to count as truth-in-advertising. I loved this book enough to buy the next two in the series within minutes of finishing this one.

Cute First Mystery But Reader Was Poor

If you could sum up Bed, Breakfast, and Bones in three words, what would they be?

A cute first mystery with lots of potential for the series

How could the performance have been better?

The performance was horrible. It took all I had to hang in with this book. I'm usually not that choosy but this was not at all professional. It was like having a friend read out loud from a book. Please check the sample BEFORE buying. I had bought the book first and just added the audible portion without checking first. If this is the reader for the series, I won't be continuing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If it wasn't for the reader, I could have easily listened all in one sitting.

Made myself finish this

The story wasn't great but the narrator was awful. Her fake laughter in her voice whenever anything remotely2amusing was read was so annoying. Would not recommend.

Good book; Need a professional reader/narrator.

Loved the characters and story.
PLEASE get another reader without the harsh, flat accent and voice. It's not a professional voice for narration.

Narrator no

I have bought the second story in ebook instead of audio to see due to my annoyance with the narrator.

Narrator ruined an already “just ok” cozy mystery.

Felt like narrator was speaking to preschoolers. Cozy mysteries are already a soft mystery add a narrator who enunciates like she’s talking to preschool children and it’s unbearable.

Loved the story. The Reader was okay.

I enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to the next book. Just the reader could have been a little better but not the worst I've heard.

Enjoyable story...narrator not so much.

Having most recently listened to a Spencer Quinn novel, superbly narrated it may not be fair to review this book. The story was enjoyable, though a largely too typical. The narration was flat and monotonous. The voice sounding far to elderly for the character. I likely will not purchase more stories if narrated by the same individual.
