Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The first girl came back.
The next might not be so lucky.
A girl is taken from the streets of Oxford. But it's unlike any abduction DI Fawley's seen before....
Faith Appleford was attacked, a plastic bag tied over her head, taken to an isolated location...and then, by some miracle, she escaped.
What's more, when DC Erica Somer interviews Faith, she quickly becomes convinced that Faith knows who her abductor is.
Yet Faith refuses to press charges.
Without more evidence, it's looking like the police may have to drop the case.
But what happens if Faith's attacker strikes again?

Distracted
Loved the book but found the sounds effects of keyboards etc really distracting. They did not enhance the book in any way. It was just odd.

Good story and narrator but audio effect annoying!
I love the DI Fawley series, although I think this book went in a totally different direction to the other three.
The story was strong and the plot was good, although there is a lot of swearing near the beginning when the first case opens and the team begin investigating regarding an online chat room. The profanity, in my opinion, should be criminal in itself.
The narration itself is spot on, but I found the extra sound effects such as phone pings and typewriter effects very annoying!
The other books didn't have them, but for some reason they were included in this audio version. I only hope they aren't added to her next audiobook!
The ended of this book is left wide open for her next, which I am very much looking forward too, considering the closing words of that last chapter!

Good plot
A great plot excellent narration my only complaint would be the long winded hashtags and @ email/website addresses they seemed to take forever to say.... the story reflects the pressures of modern lives for young people very effectively, believable plot. Will read more from this author

Clever twist
in the story of Inspector Fawley himself that makes this a little more than the usual murder case. This is an excellent series split well between the two narrators who are outstanding. If you are new to the series start at book 1.

Good series
This has been an enjoyable series and I hope we will continue to hear about Adam et al. in the future. The narration was excellent, as ever.

My favourite book of the series
My favourite D.I Adam Fawley book thus far!
Out of the 4 books so far in the series and the stand alone Murder in the Family book, this has been the most captivating book for me personally. You can really resonate with the story, the hatred towards a certain group of characters, how much you may want someone to be in the wrong for how they are portrayed, the poor families affected by such atrocities.
I enjoyed the further development of the usual characters and will be looking forward to seeing more from them.
5/5 I was gripped since the first chapter.
