About this listen

An empire broken by hubris. An officer raised by chance. Oaths that must be honored. Oaths that must be betrayed.

Rear Admiral James Tecumseh barely survived his last mission against the Alliance of Free Stars with his reputation and life intact. Under a cloud of suspicion, he has been assigned to a quiet sector far from the front of the Terran Commonwealth’s war with the Castle Federation and its allies.

But when the Federation’s Operation Medusa cripples his nation’s communications and plummets an interstellar empire into silence, Admiral Tecumseh finds himself thrust into command of an entire fleet - and responsible for the safety of billions of innocent souls.

Enemies internal and external alike challenge the nation he is sworn to serve. Duty and honor call him to action to protect the innocent, and the Admiral and his new fleet are called to war once more.

But the darkest treason lurks where no one expects it....

Top notch military Sci-Fi

This has been a top notch series and the idea to continue showing the effects of operation Medusa from the other side has breathed new life into it. Great characters and high class intrigue and action. Great stuff. Narration is superb.

Entertaining Performance of a favourite series

I have previously read the castle federation/Stellar Fox series and am finding the fallout from operation media from the commonwealth side equally engrossing. Again Mr Summerer performs all the voices well, so that each character's voice is distinct (Does a nice Scottish burr too).
I have both the Dakota Confederacy on kindle and audio & eagerly looking forward to the next one.

Borderline racist Scottish accent.

A very poor continuation of the previous series.
The narrator clearly has never heard an Edinburgh accent. The author thinks Scots have a brogue (normally associated with Irish accents). (Try listening to 44 Scotland street series to hear Edinburgh accents). This offensive voice ruined this story for me.
